Get Wisdom #17

   Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom). For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the Principal thing). And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  We've been speaking about the healing and life of the flesh or the mortal bodies of Christians and unbelievers. God says in Lev.17:14(Amp), "As for the life of all flesh, the blood of it represents the Life of it." Moses' brother Aaron lost his two sons who offered "false fire" and were burned. God instructed Moses to tell his brother afterwards in Lev.16:2-21(Amp) "Tell Aaron your brother he must not come at all times into the Holy of Holies within the Veil before the Mercy Seat upon the ark, lest he die; for I will appear in the cloud upon the Mercy Seat." God then told them to take "at the expense of the congregation," two male goats for a sin offering for himself and make atonement for himself and for his house (the other priests)." Aaron was told to cast lots and sacrifice one goat and let the other go free. God continues in Verse21, saying, "And Aaron shall lay both his hands up on the head of the live gotta and confess over him all the iniquities of the Israelites and all their transgressions, all their sins; and he shall put them up on the goat (the sin-bearer), and send him away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who is timely (ready,fit)."

  Jesus told His followers in Matt.12:40(Amp), "As it was with Jonah, as he was three days and nights in the belly of the whale, so shall it be, that the Son of Man shall be three days in the belly of the earth." Jesus' Spirit went into the belly of the earth, while His Body was three and nights in the tomb. Remember that the life is in the blood. The one goat Aaron set free, carried the sins of the Israelites into the wilderness, while the other was slain and its blood covered the people. By His Blood, Jesus carried our sins into the belly of the earth and He gave us His Blood for the Life of our flesh and our healing. 

  Rom.6:23(Amp) tells us that, "The wages of sin is death." We need to be born-again by God's Spirit and we need to have life and healing in our mortal bodies. The one death carried away our sins and the Blood keeps giving life to our mortal bodies. 1John1:7(Amp) says, "But, if we (really) are living and walking in the Light, as He Himself is in the Light; we have (true,unbroken) fellowship with one another and the Blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes us from all sin and guilt) (keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations)."

  We've all sinned in our flesh since being born-again and the wages of sin is death. So, does the Life in Jesus' Blood give us Life and cleanse us? Sin and guilt can lead to sickness and even death. It's necessary we receive the Life of His Blood, to bring life to our physical bodies, while we're here on earth. God instructed Adam in Gen.2:17(Amp), "The day you eat of this tree, you shall surely die." After Adam and Eve ate from the tree, God killed animals (shedding their blood) and covered them with the animal skins. This gave temporary life to Adam and Eve, by the life of the blood. We have the Life Blood of Jesus to give us Life, so we can live out our appointed days.

  God tells us in Gen.6:3(Amp), "My Spirit shall not forever dwell and strive with man, for he is also flesh; but his days shall yet be 120 years." Too many believers haven't been taught that Jesus' Blood not only cleanses us from sins, but brings healing and life to our mortal bodies. With all the scientific strides man has made, we cannot make blood in this 21st century. This is because of the God Factor. Only God can create life of the flesh, by His Blood. It's imperative that when we repent and ask for forgiveness, we don't forget the Blood factor. We plead the Blood of Christ over our families, friends, loved ones and all of our possessions and so the enemy cannot put guilt and condemnation on us.

  We all make mistakes and even sin while learning and growing in our walk with Christ. But we cannot allow them to put us back under the Curse of the Law or cause sickness in our minds and bodies. 

Get Wisdom #16

   Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom). For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the Principal thing; and with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, interpretation)."

  We have Wisdom from the Word of God, which is Wisdom. 1Cor.1:30(Amp) says, "But it is from Him (God) that you have your Life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom (revealed to us a knowledge of the Divine Plan of Salvation previously hidden, manifesting itself as) our Righteousness, (thus making us upright and putting us in Right standing with God) and our Consecration (making us pure and holy, and our Redemption (providing our Ransom from eternal penalty for sin)."

  In the last blog, we spoke about the Power of the Blood of Christ. Is.53:5 tells us that, "By His stripes we are healed." Gal.3:13(Amp) says, "Christ purchased our freedom (redeeming us) from the Curse (the doom) of the Law (and its condemnation) by (Himself) becoming a curse for us, for it is written in scriptures,'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree.'" 

  The Romans perfected crucifixion around the time of Jesus being hung on a cross.  Judas hung himself, but it was with a rope. Hanging by a rope on a tree didn't produce the Blood needed for our healing. Lev.17:14(Amp) tells us, ""As for the life of all flesh the Blood of it represents the Life of it, therefore I said to the Israelites, You shall partake of the blood of no kind of flesh. For the life of all flesh is in the blood. Whoever eats of it shall be cut off."

  God waited until crucifixion was the way of "hanging on a tree," before sending His Only Begotten Son to earth. Jesus could have been hung with a rope from a tree, but that wouldn't have shed His Blood. Jesus shed His Blood when they soldiers hammered spikes into His hands and feet. God required the blood of animals to protect His people. Gen.3:21(Amp) says, "For Adam and also for his wife, the Lord God made long coats (tunics) of skins and clothed them." The animal had to be slaughtered, shedding its blood, in order to provide their skins. We know that the life is in the blood and God accepted these offerings, in order to cover His people until the next offering. 

  Is.53:4-5(Amp) tells us, "Surely He has borne our griefs (sickness, weaknesses and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains (of punishment) yet we ignorantly considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God; as if with leprosy. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities, the chastisement (needful to obtain) peace and well-being for us was upon Him; and with the stripes (that wounded) Him we are healed and made whole."

  The reasons Jesus received stripes upon His back, was to shed His Blood, because "the life of all flesh is in the blood." Jesus' death was for our new birth and the shedding of His Blood was for the healing of our flesh. Throughout the Old Testament, God required His people to shed the blood of lambs and goats, because the life is in the blood. This would maintain life for His people, so He wouldn't need to take their lives because of their disobedience. 1John1:7(Amp) says, "But if we (really) are living and walking in the Light, as He (Himself) is in the Light, we have (true unbroken) fellowship with one another, and the Blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes us from all sin and guilt (keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms."

  

Get Wisdom #15

   Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom) for skillful and Godly Wisdom is the Principal thing. And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment,comprehension and interpretation)."

  We have God's Word, which is Wisdom, but we lack understanding, discernment, comprehension and interpretation. We've received man's wisdom more than the Holy Spirit. Paul writes about discernment in 1Cor.12:10-11(Amp), saying, "To another the working of miracles to another prophetic insight (the Gift of interpretation, the gift of interpreting the Divine will and the purpose), to another the ability to discern and distinguish between (the utterance of true spirits) and (false spirits), to another various kinds of (unknown tongues), to another the ability to interpret (such) tongues. All these (gifts,achievements,abilities) are inspired and brought to pass by One and the Same Holy Spirit Who appropriates to each person individually (exactly) as He chooses."

  Does the Holy Spirit choose for all of us to Get Wisdom? Obviously, He does, according to the first scripture above. We don't get skillful and Godly Wisdom simply by listening to some of the things we hear. So, the Holy Spirit gives each of us the ability to receive and get Wisdom. Many Christians have heard about the Power of Christ' Blood, but have no idea what that is. Lev.17:14(Amp) tells us, "As for the life of all flesh, the Blood of it represents the Life of it; therefore I said to the Israelites, you shall partake of the blood of no kind of flesh, for the life of all flesh is in the Blood. Whoever eats it shall be cut off."

  Do you know that the Blood of our Lamb Jesus, is for the life and healing of our flesh? The life of all flesh is in the Blood. We have eternal life in our spirit, but our bodies are still subject to this earth. When we receive communion, Jesus tells us in Luke22:19(Amp) to, "Do this in remembrance of Me." We commit sins in our flesh as we learn and grow in the covenant, but these sins don't mean that sickness and disease can come upon us because of them. 1John1:7(Amp) says, "But if we (really) are living in and walking in the Light as He is Himself is in the Light, we have true unbroken fellowship with one another and the Blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses (removes us from) all sin and guilt (keeps us cleansed from sin in all it's forms and manifestations)."

  God's Life for our healing is in the Blood of Jesus Christ. Our flesh is still subject to sickness and disease, without His Blood to cover us and give His Life to our flesh. The Blood of our covenant didn't us us life in our spirit. The Holy Spirit gave us the new birth and has given us eternal life. The Blood of Christ gave Life and healing to our mortal bodies, so we can live out our days without the Curse affecting us. The priesthood carried out all the sacrifices, but forgot what they were for. When Jesus came, He understood the importance of the power of the blood in the animal sacrifices. He saw that these animal sacrifices wasn't working for their healing. Paul writes in Acts 10:38(Amp), "God anointed and consecrated Jesus of Nazareth with the (Holy) Spirit and with strength and ability and power, how He went about doing good and, in particular, curing all who were harassed and oppressed by (the power of) the devil, for God was with Him."

  When the Israelites were still slaves under the bondage of Egypt, God instructed in Ex.12:7(Amp), "They shall take the blood and put it on the two side posts and on the lintel (above the door space) of the houses in which they shall eat (the Passover Lamb)." When the death angel saw the blood over the doorposts, it didn't enter that home. This prevented the killing of their firstborn children. Psalm105:37(Amp) says, "He brought Israel forth also with silver and gold and there was not one feeble person among their tribes." We no longer make animal sacrifices, because the Blood of our Lamb Jesus gave Life in our mortal bodies.

  Let's keep in mind what wisdom has to say about healing and health, remembering what understanding, discernment and comprehension has said. Prov.4:20-22(Amp) says, "My Son, attend to My Words; consent and submit to My sayings, Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are Life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh." Was the life in their sacrificial lamb more alive and powerful than the Blood of our Lamb Jesus? Let's put our faith in His Blood for our healing, remembering that it continually cleanses us from all unrighteousness that would permit room for sickness in our flesh.

  Seek the Lord about what I've written and then apply His Blood over your life. We must rightly discern the Lord's Body, which gives place to disease in our mortal bodies, when we received communion. The covenant meal of communion protects us all the way, if we will interpret, understand and discern Wisdom. The Blood of Christ brings Life into our natural bodies and by His Spirit, He bore our Spiritual death and gave Life to our spirits.

Get Wisdom #14

   Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom) (For skillful and Godly Wisdom s the Principal thing) and with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  Wisdom is the Word of God and Jesus is the Word of God made flesh, according to John1:14(Amp), which says, "And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human,incarnate) and tabernacled (lived awhile) among us." It's difficult to comprehend the full meaning and understanding of this, using just the carnal mind and man's wisdom. How can words create a universe? How can words create all living matter and the animal kingdom? How can words create humans, with none being alike? 

  We read what Wisdom says about our health in Prov.4:20-22(Amp). Thus it says, "My Son, attend to My Word which is Wisdom, consent and submit to My sayings. Let them not depart from your sight; keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh." Jesus healed the sick and raised the dead, but we've nearly all concluded that, "He did it because He was Jesus." Isaiah1:18(Amp) says, "Come now, and let Us reason together says the Lord. Though your sins are like scarlet, the shall be white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be like wool."

  Is.42:19-20(Amp) says, "Who is blind by My servant (Israel)? or deaf like My messenger whom I sent? Who is blind like the one who is at peace with Me (who has been admitted to covenant relationship with Me)? Yes, who is blind like the Lord servant? You have seen many things, but you do not observe or apprehend their true meaning. His ears are open, but he hears not." God tells us in Is.55:8-11(Amp), "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways and My thoughts higher than your thoughts. For as the rain and snow came down from the heavens and return not there again; but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout; that it may give seed to the sower and breathe to the eater. So shall My Word be that goes forth out of My Mouth, it (His Word) shall not return to Me void (without producing any effect, useless), but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the things for which I sent it."

  Our God created all things by His Word and is still upholding all things, by His Word. We've failed to keep His Word continually in our mouths and our hearts, like God instructed. This leaves us void of power to stand like we're instructed to do. Prov.4:23-24(Amp) says, "Keep and guard your heart with all vigilance, and above all that you guard for out of it flow the springs of life." Mark4:23-24(Amp) says,"If any man has ears to hear, let him be listening and let him perceive and comprehend. And He [Jesus] said to them, Be careful of what you are hearing, the measure of (thought and study you give to the Truth you are hearing) will be the measure (of virtue and knowledge) that comes back to you, and more besides will be given to you who hear."

  Prov.4:24(Amp) says, "Put away from you false and dishonest speech and willful and contrary talk put far from you." Do words really make a difference in what we receive in this life? God thinks they do, so let's honor God, Who's ways are higher and Who's thoughts are higher than ours. Let's"Reason together with Him," like God says in Is.1:18.

Get Wisdom #13

   Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom) (For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the Principal thing). And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  If you asked 100 people "What is wisdom?" then you'd probably receive 100 different ideas and answers. Man's wisdom isn't right, without God's Wisdom. Some say, "That's not fair." God isn't fair, He's Just. Man's wisdom says, "That's wrong," but God is never wrong. 1John2:16(Amp) says, "For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh (cravings for sensual gratification) and the lust of the eyes (greedy longings of the mind) and the pride of life (assurance in one's own resources or in the stability of earthly things) these do not come from the Father, but are from the world itself." We've been redeemed from the Curse of the Law through Jesus, but that doesn't mean that the the things God instructs us not to do, have become the right things to do.

  Many accuse us of "not walking in love," if we say someone isn't doing what God says. Jesus had much to say about about what's right and wrong and about Love. He spoke about things we need and look for in this life. He says in Matt.6:33(Amp), "But seek (aim at and strive after) First of all His Kingdom and His Righteousness (His way of doing and being right) and then all these things taken together will be given you besides."

  We've all been given a choice in what and how we believe. Our believing something is right, doesn't mean it's the way it should be. "Well Brother Jim, I don't think this is love." 1John4:8(Amp) tells us that, "God is Love." When we do what Love says in Wisdom, we don't always agree with what man thinks, but it is never wrong. Our nation's people are shouting, protesting and holding signs about things they believe are right. They're being shouted at in opposition, on the other side of the street. Some say, "Open the borders" while others say, "Close the borders." Some scream, "Let men into women's locker rooms and play in women's sports." Others say, "No, don't allow this." What does God have to say about these things? No matter what we think, God is right.

  We've strayed far away from what God has to say and decided that we know best. Now, we're walking in the wisdom of men. A lawyer tried to test Jesus asking, "What is the most important commandment?" Jesus answered in Luke10:27(Amp) saying, "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself."

  If we're to Love God and then love our neighbors as ourselves, then we must get Wisdom and understanding concerning things around us. Some say, "God isn't Love, because after parting the Red Sea, He drowned the armies of Egypt." "How could God drown the Egyptians and save only Israel?" they say, "That's not love." God didn't drown the armies because He hated them. He drowned them because He loved His covenant people and made a Promise to them. That was love.

  If we read God's Word and found out what God says, then we wouldn't need to choose sides in this world. We're to "Seek first of all, God's Kingdom and His way of doing and being right." Even if we don't understand it, then we should at least believe God knows better than we do. We must ask Him for understanding. Satan is the god of this world and walking in the world's wisdom, will only lead to more ungodliness.

Get Wisdom #12

  Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom), For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the principal thing. And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  When God speaks about Wisdom, He is speaking about His Word, Jesus according to John1:1-2(Amp) which says, "In the beginning (before all time) was the Word (Christ) and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself. He was present originally with God." Rev.19:13(Amp) tells us, "He was dressed in a robe dyed by dripping in blood, and the title by which He is called is The Word of God." Prov.8:30(Amp) says, "Then I Wisdom was beside Him as a Master and Director of the work; and I was daily His delight, rejoicing before Him always." John1:14(Amp) says, "And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate)."

  There shouldn't be any doubt that Jesus, Wisdom and the Word of God are One and the Same. God and His Word are One and the Same Person, Who is Jesus. 1Cor.1:30(Amp) says, "But it is from Him (God) that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom from God." In order to "Get Wisdom," we must first of all realize that God's Word is Wisdom and that without His Word, we're left to our own wisdom and carnal thinking, along with the wisdom of men/women.

 America's laws were handed down from her Founding Fathers and for many decades, we adhered to the Constitution and government that God prescribed for our good. We've begun to lean towards the wisdom of men, instead of holding to the Wisdom of God. This has left our nation in a place of decline. We've leaned towards political parties, instead of Wisdom. Deut.28:12(Amp) says, "The Lord shall open to you His Good Treasury, the Heavens, to give to you the rains of your land in its season, and to Bless all the work of your hands; and you shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow."

  America is deeply in debt to nations that don't have our best interest and can no longer be lending to others. This is because we haven't obeyed God's directions to "Get skillful and Godly Wisdom," and "Get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation)." We didn't heed God's instructions found in Prov.4:5(Amp), where He says, "DO NOT FORGET AND DO NOT TURN BACK FROM THE WORDS OF MY MOUTH." We've been trusting men and women to uphold the Constitution, but they turned their backs from God and the Constitution. We're reaping what we've been sowing. We witness rampant crime on our streets, our children no longer belong to us, we're not allowed to proclaim God's Word or pray in public places and our children are being turned to ungodly things of men's wisdom.

  We could have prevented these things, if only we hadn't forgotten and turned our backs from skillful and Godly Wisdom. Every one of us should be before God in prayer, to once again see our nation conform to His Wisdom. We've failed to heed God's Word. We still attend church on Sundays, we still hear sermons about God, but are we as individuals spending time in prayer and fellowship with God Himself? Are we seeking His will?

  God's Word is simply enough that even a simple man from southern Illinois, like me, can understand it. I don't want my boys to become girls or my grand-daughters to become boys. I want my precious family the way God gave it to me. I want our nation to be healthy and right, so they can grow up without being afraid to go outside. We need to get skillful and Godly Wisdom, so we can hand them down a prosperous and Godly country.
