2Corinthians 5:17 (Amplified) says, "Therefore, if any person is (ingrafted) in Christ Jesus (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old (previous moral and spiritual condition) has passed. Behold, the fresh and new has come."
The new creation man, lives in a different realm and Kingdom than those who aren't born-again. This isn't a religious state of mind, but an entirely different realm than any other person on the planet. As Christians and new creation persons, we are actually from another world altogether. We're not simply forgiven sinners struggling through until we get to Heaven, but we're brand new entities who are citizens of Heaven now.
We have been so deceived by satan and so misled by his rendering of God's Word, we have come to believe we are "the tail and not the head, beneath and not above." The Holy Spirit directed the writer of Deuteronomy 28:12-14 (Amplified) saying, We are to "Be the Head, and not the tail and you shall be above only and you shall not be beneath, if you shall heed the Commandments (or His Word) of the Lord your God which I command you this day and are watchful to do them. And you shall not turn aside from any of the Words which I command you this day. To the right hand or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them."
To Word continues to say that' If we don't heed His Words, and follow other gods or other teachings of the Word or covenant, then all this other curse can and will come upon us." Galatians 3:13-14 (Amplified) says, "Christ purchased our freedom (redeeming us) from the curse (doom) of the Law (and its condemnation), by (Himself) becoming a curse for us, for it is written (in the scriptures) Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified) To the end that through (their receiving) Christ Jesus, the blessing (promised) to Abraham might come upon the Gentiles, so that we, through faith might (all) receive (the realization of) the promise of the Holy Spirit."
We've been taught that the outpouring of the Holy Spirit in Acts 2 was the "promise and the blessing" and that they were all simply spiritual. The promise of the Spirit was for bringing forth the new birth, the new creation and the promise God gave to Abraham and his seed. This was indeed a spiritual fulfilling of this promise, because now through and by the Holy Spirit and Jesus (the Last Adam), everything God blessed Adam, Noah, and all God's men with since the beginning, could now be united in Abraham and his seed. Now, as the Seed of Abraham, Jesus could receive this mandate and Law of Genesis that was promised from the beginning and transfer it to those who would believe it by faith. God could once again, bless all who would believe in Him.
For awhile, God could bless One Man and through Him, transfer His blessing and His Law of blessing to the next generation, one generation at a time. Through Jesus (the Seed of Abraham), God can once again transfer His Own blessing upon all who are in Christ Jesus, by faith. This generation is eternal and all encompassing to God's family. The promise of the Spirit is that now through Jesus, we have received Him and are living spirits. This means that now, we can receive the blessing again of the Living Spirit, through Christ Jesus.
The Law of Genesis is still in effect, as long as Jesus is Lord (which is for eternity). The Holy Spirit has come through Jesus' resurrection and the new birth (or resurrection Life) has returned us into Life with God. The Spirit of Life (the promise of the Holy Spirit) has placed us into God's Own blessing and family again. Until Jesus came, the old covenant people could only walk in a limited part of the Blessing, depending on their obedience to the Law. Through the One Time Only Sacrifice of Jesus and His Blood, we have a new Law that was from the beginning, which according to Romans 8:1-2 (Amplified) is, "The Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus."
The Law is above every other natural and spiritual law. In this Law, death was abolished by the Spirit of Life and now, the promise of the Spirit has been set in motion for all who will believe. Under this Law, which was from the beginning, we have only one Law by which we need to enter into the Blessing of the Spirit (the Blessing promised through Abraham) and that is the Law of faith. Romans 3:27 (Amplified) says, "Then what becomes of (our) pride and (our) boasting? It is excluded (banished, ruled out entirely) on what principle? the principle of doing good deeds? No, but on the principle of faith." The King James Version says it like this, "No, but on the Law of faith."
Faith is a Law coming from the very beginning and it reigns in God, even until now. His promise came through faith and is still received by faith, operated by faith and upheld by faith. All satan needed to do with the new creation, is was to do like he did in the Garden of Eden, which was to get us "out of faith" and into deception. When we doubt the promise, then faith will no longer produce what the blessing has decreed for it to do.
Using religion, the devil has taught us to have faith in what man says about us, instead of what God has said of us. In so doing, he has placed us back under the Law and being blessed by our own works and not grace, which is being blessed by faith in the works of Jesus. The law of faith always works for good or bad. Whatever you apply faith to, it will work. God isn't made at us, when bad things happen to us. The law of faith will work all the time.
What have we applies the Law of faith to? Do we have faith in the blessing to work for us? Or, do we have faith that if we don't always "do right," then bad things will happen to us? One is faith in the Promise, while the other is faith in our works. Both will work by the same law. The Law of Gravity works in our, for both the Christian and the world. It is a Law. If a Christian leaps from the Empire State Building, then he will come down. If a sinner does the same, then he will come down. The Law of Gravity isn't arbitrary, but is constant. It works all the time.
God didn't stop the Law of sin and death. It is still a Law and still works today. What God did, was superseded this Law with a Higher Law of the Spirit of Life, which is in Christ Jesus. God didnt say that the curse isn't here any longer. He simply provided a way, through faith in His Word and Christ Jesus, to walk in the Blessing. The choice remains ours to make, just like it was our choice to be saved by faith.
We broke the Law of sin and death over our lives, when we applied our faith to a Higher Law, which is the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. Both Laws were already in effect, but we by faith, chose the Higher Law over the Law of sin and death. Now, through this same Law of faith, we must make a choice about the rest of the Promise. When you make this choice, then nothing can stop it from working, because it is a Law and it works all the time.
We can by faith, choose to walk in whatever we put faith into and it will come to pass in our lives. Gravity works for both the saved and unsaved, because it is a Law. We been taught using man's ideas, that "God uses the curse to teach us" and we have put the Law of faith to work in this area of our lives. The Promise of the Spirit is that, the Spirit Who now lives in us and through us, will be our Teacher and Guide. He will always lead us into the Blessing, because that was the Promise God made to Abraham and his seed.
Matthew 18:18 (Amplified) says that, "What we declare to be lawful or unlawful depends on knowing what Laws we are operating in, and our understanding of those Laws." Find out what Laws Jesus operated in and then follow His lead. He walked in the Law of the blessing of the first Adam, which was before the curse came through Adam's disobedience.
