In My Name #3

In John14:13(Amp) Jesus says, "And I will do (I Myself will grant) whatever you ask in My Name (as presenting all that I Am) so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son."

We don't need to strive to be in His Name, because we became that when we were born-again. 2Cor.1:19-20(Amp) says, "But the Son of God Christ Jesus (the Messiah), Who has been preached among you by us, by myself, Silvanus and Timothy, was not Yes and no; but in Him it is (always the Divine) Yes. For as many as are the Promises of God, they all find their Yes (answer) in Him (Christ). For this reason we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him (in His Person and by His Agency) to the Glory of God."

Col.1:13-14,18-20(Amp) says, "(The Father) has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and dominion of the darkness, and transferred us into the Kingdom of the Son of His Love IN WHOM we have our Redemption through His Blood (which means the forgiveness of our sins)." We became new creations IN HIM, when we were born-again, but our natural bodies are still capable of sin. The Power of His Blood was to redeem us (buy us back) from the control of this world and cleanse us, wash us from sin on a daily basis.  Verses18-20 continue saying, "He also is the Head of His Body, the Church, seeing He is the Beginning (the First Born from among the dead), so that He Alone in everything and in every respect might occupy the Chief Place (stand First and be Pre-eminent) For it has pleased (the Father) that all the Divine fullness (the sum total of the Divine perfection, powers and attributes) should dwell in Him permanently. And the Father purposed that through (by the service, the intervention of) Him (the Son) all things should be completely reconciled back to Himself; whether on earth or in Heaven as through Him (the Father) made peace by means of the Blood of the Cross."

You are as much in Jesus, as Jesus is in the Father, according to John17:20-23(Amp), where Jesus prays, "Neither for these alone do I pray (it is not for their sake only that I make this request) but also for all those that believe in (trust in,cling to, rely on Me) through their words and teachings. That they also may be one (just) as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also be one in Us, so that the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me. I have given to them, the Glory and Honor which You have given Me, that they may be one (even) as We are One. I in them and You in Me, in order that they may become one and perfectly united, that the world may know and (definitely) recognize that You sent Me and that You have Loved them (even) as You have Loved Me."

It's difficult to imagine any believers not seeing that we are "one in Him" and that according to Jesus' prayer, the Father Loves us just like He loves Jesus. If Jesus and the Father are One, then we are also one in Him...in His Name, in His place, and in His Glory and honor. When we pray or fellowship with the Father, we're not just using His Name saying, "In Jesus' Name I pray, Amen," but it's as though Jesus is praying in and through us. When my wife and I married, she became in my name. As long as she's in my name, she has access to everything I have. She can do this, because she not only has my name, but she's in my name. God's Word tells us that the husband and wife have become one flesh. She is no longer Mary McNulty, but is now Mrs. James Hayes. The name and person have become one with me.

We're joint-heirs with Christ and Jesus said in John16:17(Amp), "Everything the Father has is Mine." If you're born-again, then you're already in His Name. We should believe this and have confidence that when we pray, we're heard and have the petition that we desire in Him.

In My Name #2

As Blood bought believers in Christ Jesus, we are IN HIS NAME! This isn't just an expression or saying we do when we pray. We are actually IN HIS Name. My wife and I made covenant in August 1961 and as part of that covenant, she was no longer Mary McNulty, but became Mrs. James Hayes. She is in my name.

Everything I am and have, are equally hers because she is in my name. In Acts9:3-4(Amp), Saul was on the road to Damascus when Jesus stopped him with, "The Light of His Glory and Presence." Thus, we read, "Now as he traveled on, he came near to Damascus, and suddenly a Light from Heaven flashed around him. And he fell to the ground. Then he heard a Voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, Why are you persecuting Me? (harassing, troubling and molesting Me)? And Saul said, Who are You Lord? And He said, I Am Jesus, Whom you are persecuting; it is dangerous and it will turn out badly for you."

Jesus took it personally to have Saul persecute the Church. The Church is in His Name and persecuting the Church, is persecuting Jesus. You and Jesus have become One, like my wife and I are one. She doesn't just use my name, she has now become one with me. Paul taught about the relationship between a husband and wife in Eph.5:32(Amp) saying, "This Mystery is very great, but I speak concerning (the relation of) Christ and the Church." My wife is in my name and has the benefit of all that name involves. If another person goes to the bank and requests money from my account, then that person won't be given anything, But, if Mary does this, then she'll receive whatsoever she asks, because she's in my name.

Many pray and use the Name of Jesus without truly understanding we are in His Name and have the right to use His Name. Acts 19:14-16,13(Amp) tells us, "Seven sons of a certain Jewish Chief Priest named Sceva were doing this (practicing exorcism) the one evil Spirit retorted, Jesus I know and Paul I know about, but who are you?" We glean more information about this in Verse13, which says, "Then some of the traveling Jewish exorcists (men who adjure evil spirits) also undertook to call the Name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, I solemnly implore you and charge you by the Jesus Whom Paul preaches."

Did these men use the right Name? Was this the same Jesus Paul preached? Yes, it was. What then was the difference between using His Name and being IN HIS NAME? The same difference between you going to the bank and using my name, and my wife going to the bank in my name. We are called by His Name and are in that Name. Do you understand that you and Jesus now share the Same Name? Eph.3:13-15(Amp) says, "So I ask you not to lose heart (not to faint or become despondent through fear) at what I am suffering in you behalf; (Rather,Glory in it) for it is an honor to you. For this reason (seeing the greatness of this plan by which you are built together in Christ Jesus For Whom every family in Heaven and earth is Named, that Father from Whom all fatherhood takes its title and derives its name." You are in His Name.

In My Name #1

Jesus prayed in John18:20-23(Amp), "Neither for these alone do I pray (it is not for their sake only that I make this request), but also for all those who will ever come to believe in (trust in, cling to, rely on) Me through their words and teaching. That they all may be one (just as) You Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one In Us, so that the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me. I have given to them the Glory and Honor which You have given to Me, that they may be one (even) as we are One. I in them and You in Me, in order that they may become one and perfectly be united, that the world may know and (definitely) recognize that You sent Me and that You have Loved them (even) as You have Loved Me."

The above scriptures tell us that we don't only have Jesus' Name to use, but we are in His Name. We sometimes pray saying, "In Jesus' Name," without realizing that we not only have been given the right to use His Name, but we are in that Name and now have the same ability Jesus had. I married my wife on August 12,1961. At the end of the ceremony, she no longer was Mary McNulty, but had become Mrs. James Hayes. She took my name and now has everything my name has access to and is a joint heir with me. The two of us became one, as I am in her and she is in me, we've become one flesh. Eph.6:28-31(Amp) says, "Even so, husbands should love their wives as being (in a sense) their own bodies, He who loves his wife loves himself. No man ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and carefully protects and cherishes it as Christ does the Church. Because we are members (parts) of His Body. This mystery is very great, but I speak concerning (the relation of) Christ and the Church."

We are the Body and Jesus is the Head. The Body and the Head have the same Name. We don't just have the authority of saying His Name, but have the authority and power and Power of Attorney of that Name, because we are One with Him and bear His Name in all that He has and is. The Mystery Paul writes about is that like my wife and I are the same in this realm, so too are we with Christ Jesus.

If Mary went to the bank and used her maiden name, then she couldn't withdraw any money. She couldn't inherited the house, land or truck after my passing, if she tried using her maiden name. Our children couldn't inherit anything, nor could they make withdrawals without my name. We read in Acts 19:13-16(Amp), "Then some of the traveling Jewish exorcists also undertook to call the Name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, I solemnly implore and charge you by the Name of the Jesus Whom Paul preaches! Seven sons of a certain Jewish Chief Priest named Sceva were doing this. But (one) evil Spirit retorted, Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you? Then the man in whom the evil Spirit dwelt leaped upon them mastering two of them, and was so violent against them that they dashed out of that house (in fear) stripped naked and sounded."

Did they use the right Name when they tried casting out this Spirit? Wasn't it the same Name that Paul used? It was the same Name of Jesus, but they weren't in that Name and had no right to use that Name. My wife had no right to my name, before being married and she can't use her maiden name to retrieve things of my name. We have the right to use Jesus' Name, but do we understand that this is our Name as well? We are in His Name and have access to all that He has because of it. Rom.6:5(Amp) says, "For if we have become One with Him by sharing a death like His, we shall also be (one with Him in sharing) His Resurrection by a new life lived for God?" We don't have His Name, but like a husband and wife, we've become one with Christ Jesus and are IN HIS NAME.

Faith In The Blood #1

Gal.3:13(Amp) says, "Christ purchased our freedom (redeeming us) from the Curse (doom) of the Law (and its condemnation) by (Himself) becoming a Curse for us, for it is written (in the scriptures) 'Cursed is ever man that hangs on a tree (is crucified),' Deut.21:23. To the end that through Christ Jesus, the Blessing (promised) to Abraham might come upon the Gentiles, so that we through faith might (all) receive the (realization of) the Promise of the Holy Spirit."

Our Redemption from the Curse, came in and by the Blood of Christ Jesus. Few have understood that it's by faith in His Blood which purchased our Redemption. We believe that the above scripture is true, but don't understand that it's having faith in the Blood of Christ for our Redemption. The Blood is for our Redemption while we're here in our physical bodies. Our spirit man/woman is already a 100% new creation and will remain so, unless we turn back from Christ.

Deuteronomy 28 lists everything about the Curse of the Law and all of those things pertain to the natural, mortal body. Eph.4:30(Amp) says, "And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God (do not offend or vex or sadden Him) by Whom you were sealed (marked, branded as God's Own), secured for the Day of Redemption (of final deliverance through Christ from evil and the consequences of sin)." If you're born-again and believe you're going to Heaven when you die, then you must believe that Jesus is coming back after your natural body. Eph.1:7,13-14(Amp) says, "In Him we have Redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His Blood, the remission (forgiveness) of our offences (short comings and trespasses) in accordance with the riches and generosity of His Gracious Favor."

The "shortcomings" Paul writes about aren't in our new creation Spirit, but by the old man/woman that still lives in our flesh and blood body. These sins are remitted and covered with His Blood which He shed for our mortal bodies. Paul goes on in Verses13-14 saying, "In Him, you also who have  heard the Word of Truth, the glad tidings of the (Gospel) of your salvation, and have believed in and adhere to and relied on Him, were stamped  with the Seal of the long Promised Holy Spirit. That Spirit is the guarantee of our inheritance (the first fruits, the pledge and fore taste, the down payment on our heritage, in anticipation of its full redemption and our acquiring (complete) possession of it to the praise of His Glory)."

Jesus bought and paid for our mortal body by His Blood and He's coming back to get it at the Last Day of His coming. Eph.2:13(Amp) says, "But now in Christ Jesus, you who were (so far away) through and the Blood of Christ have been brought new." Col.1:13-14(Amp) says, "The Father has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and dominion of darkness and has translated us in the Kingdom of the Son of His Love; In Whom we have our Redemption through His Blood, which means the forgiveness of our sins."

Heb.9:12-14(Amp) tells us that, "He (Jesus) went once for all into the Holy of Holies of Heaven, not by virtue of the blood of goats and calves by which to make reconciliation between God and man, but by His Own Blood having found and secured a COMPLETE REDEMPTION, an (eternal and everlasting) release from sin. For if the mere sprinkling of unholy and defiled persons with blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a burn heifer is sufficient for the purification of the body, How much more surely shall the Blood of Christ, Who by virtue of His Eternal Spirit (His Own pre-existent, Divine Personality) has offered Himself as an unblemished Sacrifice to God, purify our consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the Ever Living God."

Heb.13:20(Amp) continues saying, "Now may the God of Peace, Who is the Author and Giver of Peace, Who is the Author and Giver of Peace, Who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that Great Shepherd of the sheep, by the Blood that sealed and ratifies the Everlasting agreement (covenant, testament)." 1Peter1:18-19(Amp) says, "You must know (recognize) that YOU WERE REDEEMED (Ransomed) from the useless, fruitless way of living inherited by tradition from your forefathers (the old covenant). Not with corruptible things such as silver and gold. But you were purchased with the Precious Blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a Sacrificial Lamb, without spot or blemish."

Ps.107:2(Amp) tells us, "Let the Redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has delivered from the hand of the adversary."

Gal.3:13(Amp) says, "Christ has redeemed us from the Curse of the Law." We've been redeemed by His Blood and must "say so." We've been redeemed from all the things we encounter in our daily walks while here on earth (the Curse). We've been Redeemed from very sickness and disease written in the Curse of the Law (and others that were not). The Blood of Christ has Redeemed us from all of them! This healing by His Blood and cleansing from all unrighteousness, comes from His Blood.

Get Wisdom #39

Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom). For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the Principal thing. And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

There seems to be many different types and descriptions of Wisdom, in today's world. We find wisdom in schools, businesses and many other things, but God speaks in the above scripture about "skillful and Godly Wisdom." One can be a wise business person and still be ignorant in Godly Wisdom. Christians can even lack skillful and Godly Wisdom. God instructs us to, "with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

We read many things in God's Word, but haven't discerned, comprehended or even interpreted correctly in our walk with Him. I wonder at times, whether these lessons are comprehended, discerned or interpreted in Godly Wisdom.  I've been writing these blogs that the Lord has shown me for nearly two decades now, and I've never wondered if they've helped you or changed your lives. That's why I'm leaving my address, so anyone can write a note or letter if desired.
