Get Wisdom #38,

  Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom), For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the Principal thing. And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  I recently returned from Charleston, SC for my great-grandson's baby shower. Now, I wish to continue learning about Wisdom. In Lev.15-17, we read about the Passover, by the blood of a lamb or goat. Two of these animals were involved. The Priest laid his hands on one lamb and cast it out into the Wilderness to never return. Our Passover Lamb did return. The other lamb was slain and its blood was a covering for all the people. God said that this was to be a festival which is carried out forever.

  God's Church celebrates the Feast of the Resurrection (Easter Sunday), but we fail to understand what Jesus said in Luke22:1(Amp), while awaiting His crucifixion. Jesus told His followers that He was there for the Passover. He was crucified on the Passover and was raised on the following Sunday morning. He was the Lamb Who took away the sins of the people and He was the Lamb, Whose Blood was the Blood of our Passover forever.

  We were spiritually dead, but we were raised with Him from that spiritual death and made new creation children of God. We were spiritually dead in trespass and sin and our Redemption was paid for by the Blood of the Lamb of God. If you read Deut.28, then you'll realize just how much we were redeemed from. The Curse of the Law has to do with our lives, while we're still here in the flesh.

  We cannot lost faith in His Blood to take care of us here, not only when we get to Heaven. Lev.17:14(Amp) tells us that, "The life of all flesh, is in the blood." Even though we're born-again and have new Life in Jesus Christ, we're still living in flesh and blood bodies. None of us have lived a perfect life in this flesh, no matter how born-again we are. We're still being "transformed by the renewing of our minds, " like Rom.12:2 says. Until our minds have been renewed, we still don't walk in perfection or maturity of the spirit. The Blood of Christ keeps us clean from all of this, as we grow.

Paul wrote about our taking Communion in 1Cor.11, telling the Church that, "We should judge ourselves before receiving Communion. He tells us that if we hold unforgiveness or malice against anyone, then we should make amends and repent, before taking Communion." Paul said many in the Church are weak, sickly and have prematurely died, because they didn't heed his message. When we partake of Communion, we're to remember the Redemption Power of the Blood of our Passover Lamb and believe.

  John tells us in 1John1:9(Amp), "If we freely confess our short comings and sin unto Him, He is faithful to dismiss and cleanse us from all unrighteousness." This cleansing is His Redemptive Blood that keeps us clean. Col.1:13-14(Amp) says, "The Father has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and dominion of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of the Son of His Love, In Whom we have our Redemption through His Blood, which means the forgiveness of sin." Eph.2:13(Amp) says, "But now, in Christ Jesus, you who once were so far away, through, by, in the Blood of Christ, have been brought near."

  Ps.107:2(Amp) says, "Let the Redeemed of the Lord say so, whom He has delivered by the hand of the adversary." If you are redeemed, then say so.  

Get Wisdom #37

  Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom); For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the Principal thing; and with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, interpretation and comprehension)."

  When God speaks about Wisdom, He is speaking of His Word and His Spirit. He's not speaking about the wisdom that comes from the natural realm. 1Cor.1:30(Amp) tells us, "But it is from God that you have your Life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom from God." "Jesus is the Word made flesh," according to John1:14. The Wisdom of God is the Word of God. Jesus told His followers in John6:63(Amp), "It is the Spirit Who gives Life (He is the Life-Giver), the flesh conveys no benefit whatever (there is no profit in it). The Words (Truths) that I have speaking to you are Spirit and Life."

  The discernment, comprehension and interpretation come from the Holy Spirit and 1Cor.12:10(Amp), "The Holy Spirit gives these Gifts individually as He wills." Each of us have the measure of the Holy Spirit and what we need at the time. So much misunderstanding in the Church comes from our interpreting a Spiritual Word with the wisdom of the world. Rom.1:22(Amp) says, "Claiming to be wise, they became fools, professing to be smart, they made simpletons of themselves." Man's wisdom has all but stopped the Super-natural work of the Holy Spirit in the Church. 

  So many have heard, "That's passed away." But, just because some don't walk in the Holy Spirit, doesn't mean that God's Word is void of Power. Ps.119:89(Amp) tells us that, "God's Word is forever settled in Heaven and is eternal." If God's Word failed, then everything He created by His Word would fall into nothing. Heb.1:2(Amp) says, "But in the last of these days, He has spoken to us in the Person of a Son, Whom He appointed Heir and Lawful Owner of all things, also by and through Whom He created the worlds and the reaches of space and the ages of time (He made, produced, built, operated, and arranged them in order)."

  We're intelligent to read the words, but it takes the Spirit to discern, comprehend and interpret what we've read. In order to understand the Power of the Blood of Christ, we need the Holy Spirit to reveal why and how this Power works. The Lord has many things for us, that carnal wisdom simply dismisses. 

  We don't pray in tongues just to prove we've received the Holy Spirit. We do so because He is the Doorway into the mysteries of God Himself. 1Cor.14:2(Amp) says, "For one who speaks in an unknown tongues speaks not to men but unto God, for no one understands him or catches his meaning, because in the Holy Spirit he utters secret truths and hidden things not obvious to the understanding (the natural mind)."

  Everything the Father has provided through Jesus, is always available to His children. 1Cor.1:9-10(Amp) says, "What eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man. YET TO US, God has unveiled and revealed them, by and through His Holy Spirit, for the Holy Spirit searches diligently (exploring and examining everything) even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God, the Divine counsels and things hidden and beyond mans scrutiny."

  Let's never stop seeking the Truth of God's Word. 

  

Get Wisdom #36

  Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom) For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the Principal thing. And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

   1Cor.1:30(Amp) tells us that "God has made unto us, Wisdom in Christ Jesus." If we've received Jesus as our Lord, then we have received Wisdom. All the Wisdom we'll ever need is in the unity with our Lord, but we must make the effort to have understanding, discernment, interpretation and comprehension. Some wonder, "Why do so many bad things happen to good people?" They're most likely told, "It must be God's will for you." One of the easiest ways for Christians to become sick or die prematurely, is that we don't understand the power of Communion. Jesus told the scribes in Matt.15:6(Amp), ""Through your own traditions, you have made the Word of God of no effect."

  Paul told the Church in 1Cor.11:27-30(Amp), "Whoever eats the bread or drinks the Cup of the Lord in a way that is unworthy (of Him), will be guilty of profaning and sinning against the Body and the Blood of the Lord. Let a man thoroughly examine himself, and only when he has done so, should he eat of the Bread and drink of the Cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discriminating and recognizing with due appreciation that it is Christ's Body, eats and drinks a sentence, a verdict of judgement upon himself. That careless and unworthy participation is the reason many of you are weak and sickly, and quite enough of you have entered into the sleep of death."

  It's not God's will anyone should be sick and die, nor does He put sickness upon us, but if we partake in Communion with unforgiveness or malice or unconfessed sins, then many might do so. Paul writes in 1Cor.5:7-8(Amp), "Purge, clean out the old leaven that you may be fresh, new dough, still uncontaminated as you are, For Christ our Passover Lamb has been sacrificed. Therefore, let us keep the feast, not with old leaven of vice and malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of purity, nobility and honor and sincerity and unadulterated Truth."

  How many of God's children do we think have taken Communion with unforgiveness, malice or anger in our hearts, instead of purity, honor, sincerity and unadulterated Truth in their hearts? Many believe that God's will is for them to be sick, even before taking Communion, but nothing could be farther from the Truth and Wisdom. Paul says that if we partake without repentance, then we are profaning the Lord's Body and His Blood, and bringing a judgment against ourselves. This means that we're responsible to judge ourselves, to receive healing and life, when receiving Communion. When we receive Communion in Wisdom, then it brings our deliverance, healing and protection. 

  Paul says that when we don't examine ourselves before taking Communion, then we are sickly, weak and many have died. Communion is the time of cleansing by the Blood. 1John1:7(Amp) says, "But if we really are living and walking in the Light (Wisdom) as He Himself is in the Light, we have true unbroken fellowship with one another, and the Blood of Jesus Christ His Son, cleanses and removes us from all sin and guilt (keeps us cleansed from all sin in all its forms and manifestations)."

  This produces healing, peace, fellowship and the Blessing Promised to us in Christ Jesus. We need discernment, comprehension, understanding and self-examination.

Get Wisdom #35

   Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom), For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the Principal thing. And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  Wisdom is the Word of God and Jesus is the Word Himself, according to 1Cor.1:30(Amp), which says, "God has made to us our Wisdom in and through Christ Jesus." If you're born-again and Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then you already have access to all of the Wisdom of God.  And we have access to understanding, discernment, comprehension and interpretation, through the Holy Spirit. 

  We need understanding of the Word of God in the Spiritual aspect. Jesus said in John6:63(Amp), "The Words I speak to you are Spirit and they are Life." When we read God's Word with only an intellectual source, we fail to know the mind of the Spirit into the realm of God's Wisdom. Without skillful and Godly Wisdom, the Word becomes just a religious book with do's and don'ts. This can lead to thinking the Old Testament and New Testament were written under one covenant. 

 Of course the Old Testament is the Truth of God's Word, but it is under the Law and needed to be obeyed by people who weren't yet born-again by the Spirit of God.  Even Jesus' disciples weren't born-again until the Day of Pentecost. No one but Jesus ever fulfilled and perfectly walked in the Law. Jesus said in Matt.5:17(Amp), "I did not come to do away with the Law and the Prophets, but to fulfill it." When we were born-again, we also fulfilled the Laws and the Prophets by being made One with Christ Jesus.

 This doesn't mean that we can ignore what the Law says, but that through Jesus, we now have a new and Greater Law. Jesus summed up the entire Law and Prophets in two Commandments, saying in Matt.22:37-40(Amp), "The First and Greatest of these is Thou Shalt love the Lord they God with all your heart, soul and mind; and the second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as you love yourself. These two commandments sum up and upon them depend all the Law and the Prophets."

  We only have two Laws that we're required to walk in, but since we still have flesh and blood bodies with only the wisdom of the world which guide them, we must seek the Wisdom of God's Word and the discernment of the Holy Spirit to lead us in our spirits. Instead of being judged by the Law when we sin and do wrong, we have Grace and the Blood of Jesus to cleanse us and keep us in His favor.

  We have so much to comprehend about the Power and significance of what the Redeeming Blood of Jesus means to our lives. This is why we've been leaning into this so much. Col.1:13-14(Amp) tells us, "The Father has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and the dominion of darkness, and transferred us into the Kingdom of the Son of His Love; In Whom we have our Redemption through His Blood which means the forgiveness of our sins."

  Heb.10:19(Amp) says, "Therefore brethren, since we have full freedom and confidence to enter into the Holy of Holies by the Power and Virtue in the BLOOD OF JESUS." The Blood of Christ continually keeps us washed and cleansed from sin, if we're faithful to acknowledge our sins and by faith, accept our Passover Lamb. Peter wrote that "We've been Redeemed from the Curse of the Law," in Gal.3:13. It's not that the Curse is no longer here, but the Blood of Jesus exempts us from the Curse, by the cleansing of His Blood. It's not like the Passover under the old covenant, where the people needed to sacrifice a lamb every time they broke the Law. Now, through the Eternal Blood of Jesus, after we confess and repent of our sins, the Blood cleanses us and keeps us in God's Blessing.

  Heb.9:12(Amp) says, "He (Jesus) went once for all into the Holy of Holies of Heaven, not by the virtue of the blood of goats and calves by which to make reconciliation between God and man, but by His Own Blood having found and secured a complete Redemption (an Everlasting) release for us." The Curse is still here, but Wisdom, understanding and faith in our Passover Lamb Jesus, Redeems us from this Curse and secures God's Blessing for us. I encourage you to read what the Curse of the Law entails from Deut.28, then you'll see just how many of them you're allowing to occur in your life, that Jesus has Redeemed us from. After this, "LET THE REDEEMED OF THE LORD SAY SO."

  

Get Wisdom #34 Jesus is our Passover Lamb

   Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom, skillful and Godly Wisdom; For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the principal thing. And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  Wisdom has been made unto us by the Father, through Jesus, according to 1Cor.1:30(Amp) which says, "But it is from Him (God) that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God has made our Wisdom." If you've received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you have Wisdom. We need to get understanding, discernment, comprehension and interpretation. We've been in the darkness for centuries, about our healing. Believers know that God can heal, but we don't understand why He "doesn't heal everyone."

  When we rightly divide God's Word about the Power of the Blood Jesus shed for us, then this will be cleared up. Is.53:3-5(Amp) says, "He was disposed and rejected and forsaken by men, a Man of sorrows and pain, and acquainted with grief and sickness; and like One of Whom men hide their faces. He was disposed and we did not appreciate His worth or have any esteem for Him. Surely He has born our griefs, sicknesses, weaknesses and distresses and has carried our sorrows and pain of punishment, yet we ignorantly considered Him stricken and smitten of God, as with leprosy. But He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement needful to obtain peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes that wounded Him we are healed and made whole.

  The stripes that wounded Jesus, are the very stripes that shed His Blood for our Redemption. This certainly wasn't the only shedding of His Blood, but it was the Blood that Redeemed us from the Curse of the Law. Jesus bled from the nails that pierced His hands and feet, the stripes on His Body and the crown of thorns placed on His head. This is the Blood of our Passover Lamb, shed for our healing and well-being.

  The Church hasn't given a lot of attention to the significance of His Blood. We've submitted to the sickness and disease that plagues the natural bodies. When we "Get Wisdom," we can understand that "We are Redeemed from the Curse of the Law, by Jesus becoming a Curse for us," according to Gal.3:13. We know that Jesus is the Redeemer. Col.1:13-14(Amp) tells us how He Redeemed us, saying, "The Father has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the Kingdom of the Son of His Love In Whom we have our Redemption through His Blood which means the forgiveness of our sins."

  By Jesus' death in His Spirit, He paid for our new birth into righteousness without sin. By His physical death in His Body and Blood, we've been cleansed and washed from the sins that we still find ourselves in while we're renewing our minds, to bring our bodies into the submission of His Spirit and Word. God left nothing to chance of any door open to the enemy. We must understand the Cross completely covered everything. He didn't just give us a way to become new creations without sins or death in our new spirit. He also paid the penalty for our mortal bodies, so that the Curse couldn't come upon us any longer.

 Part of the Curse is sickness and disease, according to Deut.28:60-61(Amp), which says, "Moreover He will bring upon you all the diseases of Egypt of which you were afraid, and they shall cling to you. Also every sickness and every affliction which is not written in the Book of the Law the Lord will bring upon you until you are destroyed." Jesus fulfilled the Law and by His Blood, He Redeemed us from the Curse that satan still tries tormenting God's children with. Let's put faith in His Blood for our Redemption from all diseases. 

Get Wisdom #33

  Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom); For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the principal thing. And with all you have gotten, Get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  We know from Lev.16-17 that there were to be two goats (lambs) on the Day of Atonement or Redemption. The High Priest would lay hands on one goat's head, confess all the sins of Israel on it and then send it into the wilderness (oblivion). The other goat was killed and it's blood was placed on the Mercy Seat, for the lives of and protection of the people.

  Jesus was the Lamb of God, Who became sin with our sin and took our sins into the Abyss, in order to pay the price for Adam's sin of treason, which caused man's separation from God and our spiritual death. Jesus made it possible for us to be born-again without sin or death in our new creation Spirit. The blood of the other lamb from the above scripture was to cover and Redeem the natural flesh and blood body from the Curse of the Law.  

  When God gave the Law, He knew man couldn't keep it and He made atonement for man, so He could still Bless him. No man but Jesus, ever fulfilled the Law. Now that the Law's been fulfilled, we need the Blood of our Passover Lamb to cleanse our flesh and blood bodies, so the Blessing can do it's work in our earthly lives. It's pertinent for us to understand and have faith in the Blood of our Lamb Jesus. We've committed sins even after being saved. The Blood cleanses us and keeps us in a position to still be Blessed. The Power of His Blood holds the destroyer back, so he'd can't bring the Curse upon us and keep us from the Blessing of God.

  Jesus was crucified on the Feast or Festival of Passover, according to Luke 22nd:1(Amp), which says, "Now the Festival of Unleavened Bread was drawing near, which is called the Passover." Jesus said in Matt.5:17-18(Amp), "Do not think that I have come to do away with or undo the Law of the Prophets; I have come not to do away with or undo, but to complete and fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until the sky and earth pass away and perish, not one smallest letter nor one little hook (identifying certain Hebrew letters) will pass from the Law until all things it foreshadows are accomplished."

  Jesus was the Only One to fulfill the Law and in Him, God looks upon us as having fulfilled it as well. By the new birth, we're raised without sin in Christ Jesus. We still have a natural body that is capable of sin. Our Heavenly Father has seen to it by the Festival of Unleavened Bread (the Passover), that the Blood of Jesus opened the door for cleansing. We know longer need the blood of goats, bulls or lambs, because Jesus fulfilled the Law. 

  When we acknowledge and put faith in His Blood, we can grow into maturity in His Word and be cleansed as we confess our sins. We can trust the Blood to cleanse us and protect us from the enemy, his lies and torment. The Blood of our Passover Lamb has the Power to cause the enemy to pass over us as the Redeemed of the Lord. Lev.4:17(Amp) tells us that, "The life of all flesh is in the blood." Are we not in flesh and blood bodies, while here on earth? Then, the Life in His Blood will extend and heal and protect us, because the life of all flesh is in His Blood. There's no death in the shed Blood of Jesus and because of this Life, the destroyer must pass over us. 

   Gal.3:13-14(Amp) says, "Christ purchased our freedom, Redeeming us from the Curse (doom) of the Law (and) its condemnation by Himself becoming a Curse for us; for it is written in the Scripture, 'Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified). To the end, that through their receiving Christ Jesus, the Blessing Promised to Abraham might come on the Gentile, so that we all through faith might receive the realization of the Promise of the Holy Spirit." The Promise doesn't just mean the receiving of the Holy Spirit, but the Promise God made to Abraham through the Holy Spirit. 

Get Wisdom #32

   Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom); For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the principal things. And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  We've been learning about the Power of Redemption, the that our Lord Jesus bought and paid for on Calvary's cross,for us. On the same day and by the Same Sacrifice, our sins were removed and our new creation was made available. The Redemption of our bodies will not be complete, until we receive new bodies at the resurrection. 1John3:2(Amp) says, "Beloved, we are even here and now God's children; it is not yet disclosed (made clear) what we shall be hereafter, we shall as God's children resemble and be like Him, for we shall see Him just as He really is."

  Our Redemption was made complete as He gave Himself over to the death of the cross.  The separation of His Spirit for our sins and the death of His Body for the Curse of the Law, we are saved.  The Strong's Concordance #1482-#1483-#1484 tells us that the word "Saved," means "Safe, i.e. deliver, protect, lit. or fig. heal, preserve, save (self) do well, be or make whole, the body, as sound, whole, body, bodily, corporal or physical, bodily."

  Jesus' Sacrifice on Calvary didn't only provide a way for us to be born-again, but also provided a means to keep our mortal bodies well. By His Own Spirit, Jesus provided total deliverance of our dead spirit and by His Blood, Jesus Redeemed us from the Curse of the Law, which was for our physical bodies. Healing is a big part of being saved, because we still have a physical body that satan delights in making sick or destroying altogether. Our physical bodies are still subject to sin, if we don't train it to walk after the Spirit. The Blood is for the cleansing of sin and the Curse from our earthly bodies.

  Col.1:13-14(Amp) tells us, "The Father has delivered us and drawn us to Himself out of the control and dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the Kingdom of the Son of His Love. In Whom we have our Redemption through His Blood, which means the forgiveness of our sins." This isn't talking about our born-again spirits, because if it's born-again in justification, holiness, perfection and filled with God Himself in and through the Holy Spirit and has been made one Spirit with Christ Jesus. This scripture is talking about our mortal and physical bodies of flesh. The Blood has Redeemed us from the Curse and keeps us clean through faith and by the confession of our sins. It keeps us clean before our God and Father.

  Col.1:10(Amp) says, "And God purposed that through, by the service, the intervention of Him, The Son, all things should be completely reconciled back to Himself. Whether on earth or in Heaven, as through Him, the Father made peace by the means of the Blood of His cross." Paul speaks about taking Communion in 1Cor.11:25-30(Amp) saying that if we fail to "Judge ourselves of anger, gossip, unforgiveness, or any other things against the brethren, then we're eating and drinking wrongly." Paul says that many of us are "sick, weak and have died ahead of our time," because of not doing these things.

Get Wisdom #31

   Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom) for skillful and Godly Wisdom is the principal thing. And with all you have gotten, Get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  We've been talking a lot about the Power of the Blood of Jesus Christ. We can probably all agree that Jesus shed His Blood for us on Calvary, but can we agree how it effects our lives today? Jesus' Spiritual death paid for Adam's sin and brought the miracle of the new creation man/woman. What was the purpose for the shedding of His Blood? Gal.3:13(Amp) says, "We have been Redeemed from the Curse of the Law, Jesus being made a curse for us, that the Blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentile." The first 12 Verses of Deut.28 reveal to us the Blessing and the next 55 Verses reveal to us what Jesus' Blood Redeemed us from. How many of these 55 Verses happen in our lives all the time, but we simply accept as being a part of life?

  The Curse is for the natural flesh and blood lives we're living on earth. Obviously, we're not exempt from these things because we're saved. We see things happen to Christians that are happening to the lost persons. Why is this? Could it be that we don't understand the Power of the Redemption of His Blood?

 Our bodies weren't born-again when we were saved and born-again, but our spirits were. Our bodies can and will do things outside of the commitment of our faith. We've all done things since being saved that aren't right. This is a growing period that takes time in the Word and training of the flesh. Paul writes about our becoming dull of hearing in Heb.5:12-14(Amp) saying, "When we should be teaching others, we still need to be taught all over again the first principals of God's Word." Paul told them they were "Inexperienced and unskilled in the Doctrine of Righteousness and were still on milk and not meat." Finally Paul said, "But solid food is for full grown men, for those whose senses and mental faculties are trained by practice to discriminate and distinguish between what is morally good and noble and what is evil and contrary, either to Divine or human law."

  How many things are still occurring in our daily lives, that we've been Redeemed from and we accept as being "normal?" When some of these things rear their heads in our lives, we should be saying, "No, praise God, Jesus Redeemed me from that and by His Blood and Redemptive Sacrifice, I refuse to accept this in my life!" We need to do like Paul says and "train our senses and mental faculties" so we're able to distinguish what is going on and stand in faith in His Blood to overcome.

  Our spirit was born-again and our soul (mind, will, emotions and intellect) are still being saved. When we receive our resurrection bodies, it will bring about total salvation (spirit, soul and body). Until then, we need to renew our mind, train our senses (emotions, will and flesh) as we wait patiently for our Lord's return. 

  Our physical bodies and senses have been trained since the time we drew our first breath. Now that we're saved, not all these things are according to God's Word. We must train it to walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. This takes time on our part. While we're training, we need to put faith in the Redemptive Blood of our Passover Lamb, to keep us cleansed from the Curse of the Law.

Get Wisdom #30

   Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom). For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the principal thing. And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  When the Apostle Paul began teaching from the Revelation of the new creation, most people were in the dark about the new covenant, which includes both Gentile and those not of the Law. Even Peter had to come to an understanding about this. Peter was still insisting that the Gentiles be circumcised, until Paul revealed the Revelation he received from Jesus.

  Still today, we stand more on our traditions, rather than the scriptures. This comes from our not having skillful and Godly Wisdom from the Holy Spirit. You'll hear completely different things from different churches. A woman once asked me, "Pastor, how many times must I be baptized?" I startled her by asking her, "How many times do you have to bury a dead man?" Then I read Rom.6:3-4(Amp) to her, which says, "Are you ignorant of the fact that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? You were buried therefore with Him by the Baptism into death. So that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the Glorious Power of the Father, so we too might habitually live and behave in newness of life." She then told me that she had been to three different churches and each one re-baptized her. One can get dishpan hands if staying too long in the water, without knowing why you were there. 

  We've been learning about the Power of the Blood. Gal.3:13(Amp) says that "We've been redeemed from the Curse of the Law, Jesus being made a curse for us, that the Blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentile." Col.1:13-14(Amp) tells us, "The Father has delivered and drawn us to Himself out of the control and dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the Kingdom of the Son of His Love In Whom we have our Redemption through His Blood which means the forgiveness of sin."

  1Peter1:18-19(Amp) says, "You must know and recognize that you were Redeemed, ransomed from the useless, fruitless way of living inherited by tradition from your forefathers, not with corruptible things such as silver and gold. But you were purchased (Redeemed) with the Precious Blood of Christ the Messiah, like that of a Sacrificial Lamb, without blemish or spot." 

  It is the Blood of Jesus Christ that has redeemed us and we need to understand that His Blood is for us to put faith in while we're still in these earthly bodies. We still sin and make mistakes, even after being born-again, but 1John1:7(Amp) says, "But if we really are walking in the Light as He is in the Light, we have true unbroken fellowship with one another, and the Blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanses, removes us from all sin and guilt, keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms or manifestations."

  The Blood of our Redeemer is a continual Life cleansing agent in our earthly lives. His Blood and faith in His Blood, will keep us from the Curse of the Law. The new birth gives us a pure, sinless and perfect creation through the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ. There's nothing wrong with your new creation Spirit, it's our flesh that is a problem. The Blood of Jesus, our Redeemer, will keep us continually clean and separate from the Curse, while we're here on earth.

  

  

  

Get Wisdom #29

   Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom) (for skillful and Godly Wisdom is the principal thing); and with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  1Cor.1:30(Amp) says, "But it is from Him (God) that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom from God." If you've received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then you have Wisdom. Paul prays for the Church in Col.1:9(Amp), saying, "For this reason (because of their love for God and for one another) we also, from the day we heard of it, have not ceased to pray and make (special) request for you (asking) that you may be filled with the full (deep,clear) knowledge of His will in all (Spiritual Wisdom), in comprehensive insight into the ways and purposes of God) and in understanding and discernment of Spiritual things."

  These scriptures (starting with the top one) make it clear that it's God will for us to understand and discern His Word, by and through the Word of the Holy Spirit. We already have Wisdom in Jesus, but we seemingly lack understanding, discernment, interpretation and comprehension. So many things in our Christian walk come by tradition, making God's Word of no effect. Jesus scolds the Pharisees about keeping the feast days and Holy days like the scripture says, but they stopped putting faith in what they were doing. They lost the Truth in the Word and commandments. Like those,we, the Gentile Church have made traditions more important than what God's Word says.

  God instructs Moses in Lev.16-17 how to make sin offerings for the people of Israel. They were to choose two goats and present them before the Lord. One goat carried the sins of the people and was cast out into the "land of forgetfulness and separation." Jesus was made to be sin with our sins and was in the belly of the earth for three days. Jesus' Body hung on the cross. Lev.17:11(Amp) says, "For the life (the soul) is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls, for it is the blood that makes atonement by reason of the life which it represents."

  Jesus served communion at the Festival of Unleavened Bread, which is called The Passover. The Spirit of Jesus became sin with our sins and was released into the Abyss. The Body of Jesus poured out His Blood for the Redemption of our souls, our flesh and blood bodies here on earth. We were born-again by His Spirit and we're redeemed and kept clean by His Blood, in this earth. The two goats from Leviticus, have become One Sacrifice through Jesus. The sin of Adam, which contaminated all of mankind, was taken by Jesus into the torment and paid for Adam's sin. The protection and deliverance of our yet carnal bodies, is redeemed by the Life of Jesus' Blood.

  Paul wrote to Church about the Feast of the Unleavened Bread (which is called The Passover), saying in 1Cor.5:7(Amp), "Purge (clean out) the old leaven that you may be fresh (new) dough, still uncontaminated (as you are), for Christ, our Passover Lamb has been sacrificed." You might ask, "What does that have to do with us?" Paul answers that in 1Cor.11:27-30(Amp), saying, "For every time you eat this bread and drink this cup, you are representing and signifying and proclaiming the fact of the Lord's death until He comes again, So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in a way that is unworthy of Him, will be guilty of (profaning and sinning against the Body and the Blood of the Lord). Let a man thoroughly examine himself, when he has done so should he eat of the bread and drink of the cup; For anyone who eats and drinks without discriminating and recognizing with due appreciate and recognizing with due appreciation that it is Christ's Body, eats and drinks a sentence (a verdict of judgement) upon himself. This (careless and unworthy participation) is the reason many of you are weak and sickly, and quite enough of you have fallen into the sleep of death."

  Now, let's look again at what Paul said in 1Cor.5:8(Amp), where he says, "Therefore, let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, nor with leaven of vice and malice and wickedness, but with the Unleavened Bread of purity (nobility and honor) and sincerity and unadulterated Truth." If we received the bread and cup of communion while harboring unforgiveness, anger, hatred and contempt in our hearts against a brother/sister, then we must give it to God, ask forgiveness and put these things under the Blood, before we receive it. The Blood of our Passover Lamb will cleanse us from these things and bring healing. 

  1John1:7(Amp) says, "But if we really are living and walking in the Light, as He Himself is in the Light, we have (true unbroken) fellowship with one another, and the Blood of Jesus Christ, His Son, cleanses (removes) us from all sin and guilt, (keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations)."

  Let's put faith in His Redemption Blood for our flesh and blood bodies.

Get Wisdom #28

  Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom), for skillful and Godly Wisdom is the principal thing. And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  We read many things in God's Word, but lack the understanding,discernment, comprehension and interpretation of what it's saying to us.  During a conversation with a friend, he told me that he was going to preach this Sunday. I asked him what he was going to preach and he answered, "The Pearl of Great Price." I then asked, "Who is the Pearl of Great Price?"  He answered, "Jesus."

  I told him that Jesus was not the Pearl of Great Price, which left him astonished. We all know this Parable that Jesus told in Matt.13:45-46(Amp), where He says, "There was a rich man who saw a field. In this field he saw a pearl of great price and the rich man gave all that he had to purchase the field." The rich man was God, the field was this earth and the pearl He saw was you and me. The Price He paid to get us, was Jesus Christ His Son. We are the pearl of Great Price. "I'm going to preach this tomorrow," my friend said with excitement.ve 

  This simple revelation changed the way he saw the Word of God. This is what God was speaking about when He said, "With all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)." Many things we read about in God's Word, we receive in in our carnal minds and in the natural understanding. Jesus said in John6:63(Amp), "It is the Spirit Who gives Life (He is the Life-Giver); the flesh conveys no benefit whatever (there is no profit in it). The Words (Truths) that I have been speaking to you are Spirit and Life." They must be discerned in the Spirit, in order to obtain the Life. This simple interpretation about the pearl of Great Price, changed how my friend looked at how much value God placed on him and us.

  This revealed to him just how much God values us and how important each of our lives are to Him. God paid for us with the death of His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus prayed just before entering into the Garden of Gethsemane in John17:23(Amp), saying, "I in them, and You and Me, in order that the world may know and definitely recognize that You sent Me, and that You have loved them as You have loved Me."

  Is your natural mind capable grasp the truth that God loves you as much as He loves Jesus? If God gave His Only Begotten Son Jesus Christ to purchase you, then isn't His love for you as great? We sometimes see God's love as being the same emotional love we have for our children. God's Love isn't emotional, but is Spiritual and by that kind of Love, it never changes. Our emotional love can change, when our feelings change. I can go from love to anger in a moment of time. 

  If we based our relationships on God's kind of Love, then we wouldn't have divorce, homelessness, orphaned or aborted children and abuse.  We know God's Love never changes, according to 1John4:16(Amp) which says, "And we know (understand, recognize, are conscience of by observation and by experience) and believe (adhere to and put faith in and rely on) the Love God cherishes for us, God is Love, and he who dwells and continues in love, dwells and continues in God, and God dwells and continues in him."

  God's Love never changes because HE IS LOVE and we know God never changes. Whatever we have done, is destroyed and made new, by the power and proof of His Love, when He gave Jesus for us. Let's continue doing what the above scripture tells us and dwell and continue in His Love and His Love will make it all right again.

Get Wisdom #27

   Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom) (For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the principal thing) And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  The Apostle Paul prayed in Col.1:9-11(Amp) that the Church "Might be filled with all the full (deep, clear) knowledge of His will in all Spiritual Wisdom (in the comprehensive insight into the ways and the purposes of God) and in understanding and discernment of Spiritual things."

  In Ex.12:23-4(Amp) Moses conveys the Word of the Lord to all the people, "For the Lord will pass through to slay the Egyptians; and when He sees the blood upon the lintel and the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to come into your house to slay you. You shall observe this right for an ordinance to you and your sons forever."

  We don't sacrifice lambs like those under the Law, but we also don't neglect to observe what God said to do "forever." Most think of this as a Jewish custom, which was under the Law. In Matt.5:17(Amp), Jesus told the scribes, "Do not think that I have come to do away with or undo the Law of the Prophets; I have come not to do away with or undo, but to complete and fulfill them." 

  Jesus was fulfilling the Law by Himself becoming the Sacrifice Lamb and our Passover Lamb. He was and is our Lamb forever.  Luke22:1(Amp) tells us, "Now the festival of unleavened bread was drawing nigh, which is called Passover." Jesus was crucified on the feast of unleavened bread, which is called Passover.

 In 1Cor.5:8,7(Amp) Paul said, "Therefore, let us keep the feast, not with old leaven (not with leaven of vice, malice and wickedness), but with the unleavened (bread) of purity (nobility, honor) and sincerity of (unadulterated Truth)." In Verse7 Paul said, "Purge (clean out) the old leaven that you may be fresh (new) dough, still uncontaminated (as you are) (For Christ (our Passover Lamb), has been Sacrificed." 

  We read about why Moses is in the Hall of Faith in Heb.11:28(Amp), which says, "By faith (simple trust and confidence in God) [Moses] instituted and carried out the Passover and the sprinkling of blood (on the door posts) so that the destroyer of the firstborn (the angel) might not touch those (of the children of Israel) (Ex.12:21). Paul says that "Jesus Christ is our Passover Lamb" and that "By simple faith and trust and confidence in God and the Blood of our Passover Lamb, we will be protected from the destroyer," in 1Cor.5:7-8.

  We no longer sacrifice lambs, because Jesus has already fulfilled the Passover forever. We just need to have faith in His Blood for us. We must purse and clean out the old leaven, so we can be fresh (new) dough, still uncontaminated (as you are). For Christ (our Passover Lamb), has been sacrificed," in the above scriptures. Paul writes to the Church in Corinth about taking the bread and cup of communion with unforgiveness, anger and malice in our hearts. Paul tells them in 1Cor.11:30(Amp), "This is why some of you are weak and sickly, and quite enough of you have fallen into the sleep of death." 

  We must put all those things, by faith and confidence, under the Blood of Jesus our Passover Lamb, so the destroyer will have to pass over us. The feast of Passover didn't end, IT IS FULFILLED. Remember, "The life is in the blood, for all your flesh," according to Lev.17:7(Amp).

Get Wisdom #26

   Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, GET WISDOM (skillful and Godly Wisdom) (For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the principal thing). And with all you have gotten, GET UNDERSTANDING (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  We've observed and celebrated the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus over this past week. Jesus told His disciples at the Last Supper to, "Do this and remember what I'm about to say, while doing it." Most of us remember that Jesus has given Himself so we can be born-again. We remember that Jesus died and then rose again from the dead. 

  Like many from the Gentile Church though, we haven't truly remembered or understood the complete knowledge of what Jesus said and did. This was also the Feast of Passover. Many look at the Passover as an Old Testament festival, but Jesus said that He "came to fulfill the Law and the prophets," in Matt.5:17(Amp). The Old Testament saints observed the Passover, but is this still for us today in the New Testament?

  Jesus made it clear at the Last Supper, that the cup was in remembrance of what He was about to do, saying in Mark14:22(Amp), "He also took a cup (of the juice of grapes), and when He had given thanks, He gave (it) to them, and they all drank of it. And He said to them, This is My Blood (which ratifies) the new covenant, (the blood) which is being poured out for (on account of many)." 1Cor.11:25(Amp) tells us, "Similarly when supper was ended, He took the cup also, saying, This cup is the new covenant (ratified and established) in My Blood. Do this, as often as you drink (it), to call Me (affectionately) to remembrance." 

  We read God's directive for the high priest (Aaron, Mose's nephew) in Lev.16-17, where He called for two separate goats or lambs on the great day where they gathered to honor God at the Passover Feast. One was to be presented before the Lord and the high priest would lay his hands on its head and place all the sins of Israel upon it. This lamb or goat was sent out of the camp into the wilderness. The other was slain, sacrificed, and its blood was sprinkled on the Mercy Seat for their redemption. In Lev.16:34(Amp), God says, "This shall be an EVERLASTING STATUTE FOR YOU, that atonement may be for the Israelites for all their sins once a year. And Moses did as the Lord commanded him." Many today still don't understand that Jesus died twice on Calvary's cross. Once was when His Body died and once was when His Spirit died. Once was for the Lamb when all the sins of the world were placed upon Him.

  The death of Jesus' Body and the shedding of His Blood were for our Redemption, while we're still living here in our flesh and blood bodies. Jesus' Spiritual death was when He "took the spiritual death that Adam passed onto our spirit men and women, when he transgressed in Eden. Adam's sin separated us spiritually from God. Gal.3:13(Amp) tells us that we've "Been redeemed from the Curse of the Law, in Jesus." This redemption was by His Blood.

  The Passover is still of the upmost importance to the believer today. Jesus is our Passover Lamb and we must understand the significance of His Blood in our lives today. Heb.9:12-14(Amp) tells us, "He (Jesus) went once for all into the Holy of Holies (of Heaven), not by the virtue of the blood of goats and calves (by which to make reconciliation between God and man) but by His Own Blood, having found and secured a (complete redemption) an everlasting release for us. For if the mere sprinkling of unholy and defied persons with the blood of goats and bulls and the ashes of a burn heifer is sufficient for the purification of the body, HOW MUCH MORE SURELY shall the Blood of Christ, Who by virtue of His Own Eternal Spirit, Divine Personality has offered Himself as an unblemished Sacrifice to God purify our consciences from dead works and lifeless observances to serve the everlasting God."

   Heb.10:19(Amp) says, "Therefore Brethren, since we have full freedom and confidence to enter into the Holy of Holies by the Power and Virtue of the Blood of Jesus, We, as Christians, still sin in our natural flesh and blood bodies. The Spiritual death of Jesus was for our spirit man/woman, so we could be born-again. This is a complete Salvation for the spirit, soul and body. Let's put faith in Jesus Blood for ourselves and our families. Not just to be born-again, but to keep us continually clean and covered before God. The Curse of the Law was three-fold. It was poverty, sickness and death. These are all in the flesh, not the spirit. This is what the Blood was for. Bless you and remember the Passover.

Get Wisdom #25

   Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom) (For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the principal thing) And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  As we observe the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ this Holy Week, we know that Wisdom is needed to discern, comprehend and understand what this means for our every day lives in Him. In Lev.16:5(Amp), God gave Moses instructions for his brother Aaron. Before entering into the Holy of Holies, Aaron was to "Take two male goats for a sin offering and one bull for a burnt offering. He was to present the bull for a sin offering for himself and he was to present the two goats before the Lord.  Aaron was to cast lots on the two goats, one for the Lord and one for removal. The one on which the Lord's lot fell, Aaron was to offer him for the sin offering. The one which the lot fell for removal was to be let go into the Wilderness. He was to kill the goat of the sin offering and brings its blood into the Holy of Holies and sprinkle it up on the Mercy Seat. He shall present the live goat. He shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat and confess over him all the sins, iniquities and transgressions and put them on the goat the (sin bearer) and sent him away into the wilderness. The bull and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement shall be carried forth without the cup. For on this day atonement shall be made for you, cleanse you from your sins, you shall be clean before the Lord."

  Lev.17:11,14(Amp) tells us, "For the life (soul) is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement by reason of the life which it represents." In our new covenant, what Life does the Blood of our Lamb Jesus represent and what is the Power of His Blood for our souls and flesh? Verse14 says, "As for the Life of all flesh, the Blood of it represents the Life of it." The Blood of Jesus represents the Life of Jesus and is Life unto our flesh and soul, by faith in His shed Blood. One goat was to be sent into the wilderness and is the Spirit of Jesus that was made to be sin with our sin. Two deaths were presented in His crucifixion. One was in His flesh, His Blood redeemed out flesh and blood bodies from the Curse of the Law. The other was His Spirit, which took our place, our sins, our iniquities and our trespasses into the pit of hell, so we could be born-again as sons and daughters of God.

  Gal.3:13(Amp) says, "Christ purchased our freedom (redeeming us) from the Curse of the Law and its condemnation, by Himself becoming a curse for us." Eph.1:7(Amp) says, "In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His Blood, the remission, forgiveness of our offenses (shortcomings, trespasses) in accordance with the riches and generosity of His Gracious favor." The Power of His Blood brings healing, deliverance and cleansing for our mortal bodies, here on earth.

  1Peter1:18-19(Amp) tells us, "You must know and recognize that your were redeemed, ransomed from the useless, fruitless way of living inherited by tradition from your forefathers, not with corruptible things such as silver and gold. But you were purchased with the Precious Blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a Sacrificial Lamb without blemish or spot."

Get Wisdom #24

   Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom) For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the principal thing. And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  1Cor.1:30(Amp) says, "But it is from Him (God) that you have your life in Christ Jesus, (Whom God made our Wisdom from God)." If you have received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, then you have the Wisdom of God living in you. Now we must get understanding. Many times we've read the Word, without the understanding of it in our hearts. This understanding comes from meditating in the Word and allowing the Holy Spirit, Who is the Teacher, to reveal the discernment, comprehension and interpretation. Jeremiah1:12(Amp) says, "The said the Lord to me, You have seen well, For I Am alert and active, watching over My Word to perform it."

  We know that the power is in the blood. Jesus could have died on the cross like the two thieves, without the beating and torture and still have given Life to our new spirit. What was the reason for all Christ's suffering on the cross? Gal.3:13(Amp) says, "Christ purchased our freedom (redeeming us) from the Curse (doom) of the Law, and its condemnation, by Himself becoming a Curse for us, for it is written in the Scripture, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree (is crucified)."

  Lev.17:14(Amp) says, "As for the life of all flesh, the blood of it, represents the Life of it." All the sacrifices God required from the Old Testament people were to give and sustain life in their flesh, by the Life of the blood of goats and lambs. The life of our flesh today isn't from goats and lambs, but is by the very Life Blood of Jesus our Sacrifice Lamb. Eph.1:7(Amp) says, "In Him we have redemption (deliverance and salvation) through His Blood, the forgiveness of our offenses (shortcomings and trespasses) In accordance with the riches and generosity of His Gracious favor." 

  Even after being born-again, we sin or miss God in our natural man/woman and in our flesh. Did our God make provision for our flesh or just our spirit? He did both, because we weren't yet made perfect in the flesh. 1John1:7(Amp) tells us, "But if we (really) are living and walking in the Light, As He Himself is in the Light, we have true unbroken fellowship with one another, and the Blood of Jesus Christ His Son, cleanses (removed) from us, all sin and guilt, (keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and manifestations)."

  Gaining understanding of the Power of His Blood, is to be able to walk in what it says in Heb.10:1-5(Amp), "For since the Law has merely a rude outline (foreshadowing) of the Good things to come, instead of fully expressing those things, it can never by offering the same sacrifices continually year after year make perfect those who approach its altars. For if it were otherwise, would these sacrifices not have stopped being offered? Since the worshipers had once for all be cleanse; they would no longer have any guilt or consciousness of sin. But as it is, these sacrifices annually bring a fresh remembrance of sins to be atoned for. Because the blood of goats and bulls is powerless to take sins away. Hence, when He (Christ) entered into the world, He said, Sacrifices and offerings You have not desired, But instead You have made ready for Me a body for Me to offer." Heb.1:19(Amp) says, "Therefore Brethren, since we have full freedom and confidence to enter into the Holy of Holies by the Power and Virtue in the Blood of Jesus."

  We must learn to have faith in His Blood, for the redemption of our flesh and our souls, to keep us clean and walk in our Redemption. Jesus is our Wisdom and He is the Word made flesh.  

Get Wisdom #23

      Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom) For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the principal thing. And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

,  God's Word is Wisdom. We though, lack discernment, comprehension, understanding and interpretation of His Word. We've developed a carnal understanding, but have forgotten that Jesus said, "It is the Spirit Who gives Life (He is the Life Giver); the flesh conveys no benefit whatever (there is no profit in it) The Words (Truths) that I have been speaking to you are Spirit and Life," in John6:63(Amp). 

  God's children been led more by the flesh than the spirit throughout the years. Jesus said in the above scripture that "His Words are Spirit and Life." We've seen Christians subject themselves to the very things the world is subject to. Many say, "God must have done this to teach me something" or "God did this to me, because I've done something wrong." Jesus said though, "My Words are Spirit and Life."

  We've believed more of what we've learned from the flesh, rather than believe what the Spirit says. Jesus tells His disciples in John15:1-3(Amp), "I Am the True Vine and My Father is the Vine Dresser. Any branch in Me that does not bear fruit (that stops bearing) He cuts away (trims off, takes away) and He cleanses and repeatedly prunes every branch that continues to bear fruit, to make it bear more and richer and more excellent fruit. You are cleansed and pruned already because of the Word which I have given you (the teachings I have discussed with you)."

  Many of us have had fruit trees in our yards, through the years. They had what we called, "suckers," which are the branches growing at the lower part of the tree trunk. They didn't produce fruit, but they pulled the sap or life, from the tree, causing the tree to stop producing fruit like it should. We cut or pruned these suckers every spring, so the good branches could get more life and bear better fruit. Notice how Jesus did this by His Words and His teachings.

  We had suckers too, when we first came to the Lord. The old habits of this world and the things of this world, kept God from getting the best fruit that we could have produced. These things are pruned away, as we learn from the Holy Spirit and are able to produce at the Kingdom level. God never does this by placing trials, sickness and disease. He does this by His Word and His Spirit. 

  God's Word is Spirit and Life and God directs us to Get Wisdom (which is His Word), along with understanding, comprehension, discernment and interpretation. This doesn't come through the carnal mind, but through our spirit. The Holy Spirit tells us in Heb.4:12(Amp), "For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of Power (making it active, operative, energizing and effective); it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and the (immortal spirit) and the joints and marrow (of the deepest parts of our nature) exposing and sifting and analyzing and judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart."

  This is what Jesus was speaking about, with His disciples. His Word is Spirit and Life, that sifts and judges the very depths of our flesh and souls. His Word is sharper than a two-edged sword and prunes of all the things in our lives so we can bear better fruit. After the Last Supper, their lives were pruned from the old things and habits, so they could bear fruits to God's Own Praise and Glory.

  We come into the new birth with a lot of old habits from the world. Religion tried to prune these things from us, using rules and regulations. This didn't work under The Law and it won't work now. It takes more than rules to change the old man/woman. It requires the Word of God in our hearts, in order to change. We've been taught that all the bad things which comes up on us, are "God teaching you." The sad truth is, we got ourselves into this mess, because we didn't allow the Spirit and God's Word to prune away the things of the flesh (the suckers), which drained the flesh.

  Heb.12:5-8(Amp) says, "And have you completely forgotten the Divine Word of appeal and encouragement in which you are reasoned with and addressed as sons? My Son, do not think lightly or scorn to submit to the correction and disciple of the Lord, nor lose courage and give up and faint when you are reproved or corrected by Him For the Lord corrects and disciples everyone whom He love, and He punishes and scourges ever son whom He accepts and welcomes to His heart and cherishes. You must submit to and endure correction for disciple; God is dealing with you as sons and daughters. For what son is there whom his father does not train and correct and disciple?"

  The above scripture tells us that God not only will, but does correct, disciple and train up His children. Now, let's see how He does it, like Jesus said, " Now you are pruned and clean by the Words and teachings I have given you." 2Tim.3:16-17(Amp) says, "Every scripture is God Breathed given by His inspiration and is profitable for instruction, for reproof and conviction of sin. For correction of error and disciple in obedience and for training in righteousness (in holy living, in conformity to God's will in thought, purpose and action. So that the man of God may be completely and proficient and well-fitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work."

  God uses His Word and Spirit to prune away the old things of the flesh. He doesn't use sickness, disease or things of the Law. In order to be made complete, proficient and well-fitted to every good work, is to submit to Him (His Word) as it reveals things in our carnal bodies and allow His Word to prune them away by His two-edged sword (His Word). Remember, Heb.12:7 says, "You must submit to and endure correction for discipline." We must obey what God's Word says, letting it prune and cleanse us so we can bear fruit.

  Jesus is the Vine and we are the branches. If we abide (live) in Him and submit to His Word, then He, by His Word, will prune away all those little habits or sucker branches. which causes us to bring forth more and better fruit.

  

  

  

Get Wisdom #22

  Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom)..  For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the principal thing. And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  Prov.2:7-8(Amp) says, "He (God) hides away sound and Godly Wisdom, and stores it up for the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with Him). He is a shield to those who walk uprightly and in integrity. That He may guard the paths of justice; yes, He preserves the way of His saints." When God "hides away sound and Godly Wisdom," He doesn't hide it from His people, but for His people. He doesn't show His Wisdom to the enemy, so they won't know in advance what He was doing. He shows it to His people to walk in. 1Cor.2:7-8(Amp) tells us, "But rather what we are setting forth is a Wisdom of God once hidden from the human understanding and now revealed to us by God-that Wisdom God devised a d decreed before the ages for our glorification to lift us into the Glory of His Presence. None of the rulers of this age (or world) perceived and recognized and understood this, for if they had, they would never have crucified the Lord of Glory."

  One of the primary ways to get Wisdom, is by God's Word. We still need understanding, discernment and interpretation while reading the Word. 1Cor.14:2,4(Amp) tells us another way to receive Godly Wisdom. Thus, it says, "For one who speaks in an unknown tongues, speaks not to men but unto God, for no one understands or catches his meaning because in the Holy Spirit, he utters secret Truths and hidden things  not obvious to the understanding." 

  Revelation knowledge is opened up to the believer when we pray or speak in tongues. The believer isn't speaking to the people in prophecy. Verse4 says, "He who speaks in a strange tongues, edifies and improves himself, but he who prophesies interpreting the Divine will and purpose and teaching with inspiration, edifies and improves the Church and promotes growth in Christian Wisdom, piety, holiness and happiness." 

  We have a personal language for our edification and there's a Heavenly language given to edify the Church. We cannot mix up these two languages. One is for our personal use and one is for the Church and comes with interpretation. Paul goes on to explain the difference, telling us that this Wisdom was hidden away is for every individual in the Body of Christ to reveal God's Wisdom in our daily lives. Satan has fought against the speaking of tongues, because he has no control of what we're praying or receiving from the Father. The enemy has no defense against nor can he stop us from getting Wisdom. JudeVerse20(Amp) tells us, "But you, beloved, build yourselves up, founded on your most holy faith. Make progress rise like an edifice higher and higher, praying in the Holy Spirit."

  Again, Paul tells us in 1Cor.14:4(Amp), "He who speaks in a strange tongue tongues, edifies and improves himself." When we speak and pray in tongues, we're speaking to the Father Himself, and we're speaking mysteries. These aren't mysteries to God, but to us. The Holy Spirit reveals hidden Wisdom to and for us. This is God's giving us understanding, discernment and interpretation, so we can walk in His Word.
