Developing the New Creation Lesson 49

2Cor.5:17(Amp) says, "Therefore, if any person is ingrafted in Christ Jesus (the Messiah), he is a new creation (a new creature altogether), The old previous moral and Spiritual condition has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new HAS COME."

This scripture should be established in our mind and spirit by now.  We are no longer who we once were, but we're new creation children of God.  1Pet.2:2(Amp) says, "Like newborn babies you should crave (thirst for, earnestly desire), the pure unadulterated Spiritual milk (of the Word) that by it you may be nurtured and grow unto completed salvation."

These scriptures tell us that we're like newborn children of God, when we receive Jesus as our Lord and become new creations.  Paul tells us that we must feed on God's Word, in  order to grow into mature Christians and completed salvation.  As we grow in the Word, we realize that salvation is more than just going to Heaven and that it includes God's Promises for while we're here on earth.  We begin to understand that God has a purpose and plan for our lives here.  We learn to believe that all the Promises He gave us through Jesus, aren't just for when we go to Heaven.

We learn and understand God's Promises by reading the Word and listening to the Holy Spirit, going from "faith to faith."  2Cor.1:18-20(Amp) says, "As surely as God is trustworthy and faithful and means what He says, our speech and message to you have not been Yes that might be No For the Son of God (Christ Jesus, the Messiah), Who has been preached among you by us, by myself, Silvanus, and Timothy, was not Yes and No, but in Him is always the Divine Yes. For as many as are the Promises of God, they all find their Yes Answer in Him (Christ). For this reason we also utter the Amen (So be it), to God through Him (in His Person and by His Agency) to the Glory of God."

Did you realize that simply believing the Promises God gave us through Jesus, brings Glory to the Father?  He didn't make these Promises to and for us in vain, but intended that we inherit all these Promises.  We must believe these Promises, like we believe that Jesus is God's Son and that if we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, then we would be saved.  This isn't the only "Yes Answer" to God's Promises, but is where we begin accepting what God Promised in Jesus.

God's Promises are the benefits of being born into Royalty and help us grow up into mature Christians and children of God to the Glory of God.  We've been told that these Promises "aren't for everyone" or "for us today," but have "passed away."  Paul describes completed salvation as being on the course of a new life, and just like we mature and grow in the natural world, so it is in this new Life in Jesus.  Many still don't understand how to achieve and grow in this natural world.  They expect to succeed in life without working towards it and then they become discouraged by their lack of success.

Many in the Body of Christ have accepted what others have accomplished, thinking that's all there is.  The body of Christ is made up of individuals and each is responsible for how much we believe in the Promises God has given us.  In Jesus, these Promises are no longer just Promises, but are now FACT.  When we trust in Him and discover that God has already made these Promises True for us now, we'll grow from faith to faith.  2Cor.1:22(Amp) goes on, "He has also appropriated and acknowledged us as His by putting His seal upon us and giving us His Holy Spirit in our hearts as the security deposit and guarantee of the fulfillment of His Promise."  This is a Blood bought guarantee that all God has Promised us through Jesus, is guaranteed to and for us, by our faith in Him.

Some in this natural world go on to do great things, but it's left up to those who persevere.  Some follow their heart's desire to have successful futures.  This is True for God's Promises too.  Some choose to accept all or part of them, but they're available to all who will believe.  We can stop at the Promise of being saved or we can go unto completed salvation.

We're saved or born-again, when we receive Jesus as our Lord.  Heaven is our Home, God is our Father and we will be with the Lord after we die or when He takes us at His Return.  The rest of God's Promises are guaranteed to be ours too, we must choose whether or not to accept them.  Every individual believer must appropriate them by faith in what Jesus has done, so we grow into them, as we grow in Him.

Don't allow anyone to talk you out of what Jesus has given us, by faith in Him and God's Grace.  This doesn't mean they're not good Christians and have missed God, but that you haven't received their full inheritance Jesus bought and paid for, by His Sacrifice.  We must study and discover what these Promises are and then begin applying them in our life, by the same faith that brought us to become new creation children of God.
