Lesson 66 THE YEAR OF UNDERSTANDING - Original Intent

Genesis 1:26-27,28 (Amplified) says, "God said, Let Us (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) make mankind in Our Image (after Our Likeness) and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the (tame) beasts, and over all the earth and over everything that creeps upon the earth. So God created man in His Own Image, in the Image and Likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them."  Verse 28 goes on, "And God Blessed them and said to them; Be fruitful, multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, using all its vast resources in the service of God and man. And have dominion over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, and every living creature that moves upon the earth."
This mandate and Blessing was God's Original Intent for His family, from before time.  It was lost through Adam and God had to restart different means, in order to Bless and keep mankind, until He could bring Jesus into this earth.  Those who've accepted Jesus as our Lord, have been redeemed or brought back to God's Original Intent.  Jesus has given us the Power of Attorney to use His Name, restoring the authority and dominion over all the works of God's Hands to us.  This is True, for all who will believe and accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
The Last Adam Jesus, walked in the same Blessing and authority during His earthly ministry.  Jesus was brought into the earth as a Man without sin, so the Law of Sin and of Death couldn't hold Him.  Through Jesus' Sacrifice, we've been born-again into this mandate and Blessing, because we've been born without sin, according to  Romans 8:1-2,3 (Amplified) which says, "Therefore, there is now no condemnation, no adjudging guilty of wrong for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live and walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit. For the Law of the Spirit of Life which is in Christ Jesus (the Law of our new being), has freed me from the Law of Sin and of Death."
God's Original Intent is made visible to us today  in Verse 3, which says, "For God has done what the Law could not do, its power being weakened by the flesh (the entire nature of man without the Holy Spirit), Sending His Own Son in the guise of sinful flesh and as an Offering for sin, God condemned sin in the flesh, subdued, overcame, deprived it of its power over all who accept that Sacrifice."  We became new creations in Christ, when we were born-again.  God now sees us like He sees the Last Adam Jesus and how He saw the First Adam, before his fall in the Garden.  The fullness of God's Blessing and mandate for Adam, is now ours in Jesus.  God sees us pure, holy, blameless, whole and righteous in Christ Jesus.  Jesus is our Justification and our Life.
The "dictates of our flesh," continue magnifying our failures and faults, while the dictates of the Spirit will always magnify the victory of Jesus in our lives.  Do we still make mistakes, even after we're saved?  Of course.  But, God no longer takes them into our account, because of Jesus.  His Sacrifice has dealt with them forever.  This doesn't mean that we go on sinning and allowing the flesh to live it's old life, but that we're to take God's Word and His Holy Spirit and overcome them.  We're to mature and grow in our new creation man, in Him.
If we would learn to see ourselves as God sees us now, then our faith and prayer lives would dramatically change.  James says that God's Word is "The Perfect Law of Liberty" for believers, in James 1:22-25 (Amplified), saying, "But be doers of the Word (obey the Message), and not merely listeners to it, betraying yourselves into deception by reasoning contrary to the Truth. For if anyone only listens to the Word without obeying it, he is like a man who looks carefully at his own natural face in a mirror. For he thoughtfully observes himself, and then goes off and promptly forgets what he was like. But he who looks carefully into the Faultless Law (the Law of Liberty) and is faithful to it, and perseveres in looking into it, but an active doer who obeys, he shall be Blessed in doing his life of obedience."
The Faultless Law of Liberty will always reflect back to you, the Truth of the Power of your deliverance and the reality of who you have now become in Christ Jesus.  The world and some around you, will always remind you of who you once were, but God's Word and His Spirit will always show you who you now are in Him.  Many haven't dared to believe that a Holy God sees them as being righteous and just.  When you look into the mirror of God's Word, it will always reflect the image of the new creation and not the old man/woman we once were.  A mirror never reflects what isn't there.  We can't allow the enemy to distort the image we see, so that we seem who we were before being born-again in Christ.  We've allowed ourselves to be molded after the First Adam, instead of the Last Adam.
1John 3:20-21 (Amplified) tells us, "Whenever our hearts in (tormenting) self accusations makes us feel guilty and condemns us. For we are in God's Hands, He is above and greater than our consciences (our hearts), and He knows (perceives, understands) everything, nothing is hidden from Him And beloved, if our consciences (our hearts) do not accuse us, if they do not make us feel guilty and condemn us, we have confidence, complete assurance and boldness before God."  1John 5:14-15 (Amplified) continues, "And this is the confidence, the assurance, the privilege of boldness which we have in Him, WE ARE SURE that if we ask anything, make any request according to His will (in agreement with His Own Plan), He listens to and hears us. And if since we positively know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know with settles and absolute knowledge, that we have granted us as our present possessions the requests made of Him."
It's one thing to read and believe God's Word that says, "We've been made the Righteousness of God in Jesus" and that we've become new creations in Christ.  It's another thing altogether, to believe and accept it as Love and Grace and to walk it out.  We're not just forgiven sinners, but we're new creations made in the Image and Likeness of God.  1John 4:17 (Amplified) says, "In this union and communion with Him, Love is brought to a completion and attains perfection with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment with assurance and boldness to face Him, because as He is, so are we in this world."
This Truth becomes a reality in your life, only by the Faultless Law of Liberty.  Our carnal minds cannot fathom this Truth and will constantly condemn and accuse us of the flesh we dwell in, instead of the one who dwells in that flesh.  When this Truth becomes reality in our lives, the it changes everything about us and we can take our place in the family of God.  We will have more confidence in our prayer lives and fellowship with God.  It sounds funny to say that denying His Righteousness is confidence in yourself, but this is a form of pride that we've been taught is "humility."  The difference between arrogance and confidence is Truth in God's Word.  We know that in ourselves, we're not what we should be.  But, by truth, we'll recognize that we're in Him and not in ourselves.
This is and always will be, Truth.  Stay in the mirror of God's Word, until you see yourselves and can remember what you look like in Christ Jesus and not in the flesh.  This will completely change your life.
