Get Wisdom #18

Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is; Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom) For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the principal thing. And with all our have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

1Cor.1:30(Amp) says, "But it is from Him (God) that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom from God." Wisdom is certainly the principal thing and Jesus is our Wisdom. Jesus is also the Word made flesh. Too many read God's Word and still lack understanding, discernment, and interpretation.

Lev.17:14(Amp) says, "As for the life of all flesh, the blood of it represents the Life of it." We read about the Last Supper in Luke22:19-20(Amp) which says, "Then He took a loaf of bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, This is My Body which is given for you; do this is in remembrance of Me. And in this manner, He took the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the New Testament (covenant) ratified in My Blood which is shed, poured out for you."

We have wisdom, but do we have understanding and discernment about what Jesus was saying? In the old covenant, the body and blood of animals was offered up to God in exchange for the life and place of man. The life of the flesh was in tact, because the life in the flesh of the animal. The Lamb was offered and its blood was not contaminated by sin, so the life of man was extended b the life that was in the flesh. The lamb was slain in place of man and God accepted this sinless life, instead of man's sin filled life.

"The healing is by the blood and the blood is in the life of all flesh," according to Lev.16-17. The blood was for man's healing. Man could live because of the lamb, when the Law demanded the life of the man. Jesus became the Lamb of God for the sins of man and His Blood was shed for the healing and life of our flesh. We read in the same scripture that there were two lambs or two goats offered. They laid their hands on the head of one, laying the sins of the people upon it and banishing it to the wilderness. The other was killed and its blood was used on the altar for the life of the people. So, one animal was for sin and the other was for the life of the people's flesh.

We're born again of the Spirit of God and we've been made alive unto Him, by the death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. We're still in the flesh and blood world while on this side of total resurrection. God's Spirit gave us new Life in our spirit and His Blood gives us life in our flesh and blood bodies, until we go to be with Him. Gen.6:3(Amp) says, "Then the Lord said, My Spirit shall not forever dwell and strive with man, for he is also flesh; but his days shall yet be 120 years." God extended the life of our flesh by the life in the innocent blood of the sacrifice. Go read 1Cor.11 and see what communion now is to the believer, according to what Jesus said at the Last Supper.
