Get Wisdom #20

   Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, GET WISDOM (skillful and Godly Wisdom) (for skillful and Godly Wisdom is the principal thing). And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."

  1Cor.1:30(Amp) says, "But it is from Him that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom from God." If you've received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then you have the Wisdom of God already in you. So, it's not lack of Wisdom, but a lack of discernment, comprehension and/or interpretation. Too many of God's Blessings and Promises aren't operating in the lives of His children, because we lack these things. In Mark4:24(Amp) Jesus says, "Be careful what you are hearing, the measure of thought and study you give to the Truth you hear, will be the measure of it (virtue and knowledge) that comes back to you-and more besides will be given to you who hear."

  We hear so many things from so many devices in this 21st century. Our cell phones and even smart toasters, have more computer power than all of NASA computers in 1969. I can request my TV remote to change the channel or find a certain show. We have so many preachers on these devices, but are they all preaching Wisdom. If they're preaching The Bible, is it from man's perspective or from the Wisdom of God? We're not always hearing God's Wisdom and Truth, so we need discernment, comprehension and interpretation when listening to some.

  Jesus was giving "The Parable of the Sower," when He taught that Words are seeds. He said that "If we have ears to hear, then we need to be hearing the seeds of the Kingdom of Heaven. Words are all seeds, but all seeds are not of the Kingdom, so what hear is the seed that produces in our lives. Too many have had seeds sown into their hearts that aren't from the Kingdom, because they weren't careful about what they heard. God's Word is Wisdom, but we can receive distorted information. We must study God's Word for ourselves, so we won't be deceived.

  We don't need to turn the channel to hear negativity nearly 24 hrs. daily. These things are not Godly Wisdom. Many have heard the lie that there are more than two sexes so many times, that they've become brainwashed to it. In John8:44(Amp), Jesus tells us that, "The devil is the father of lies and there is no truth in him." We hear about plane crashes so many times, but never hear about the 2.4 million people who travel safely by plane. Fear is placed in the people's hearts from the coverage of plane crashes and their not being compared to the good news. 

  2Tim.2:15-16(Amp) tells us,"Study and be eager and do your utmost to present yourself to God approved, a workman who has no cause to be ashamed, correctly analyzing and accurately dividing (rightly handling and skillfully teaching) the Word of Truth. But avoid all empty (vain,useless,idle) talk, for it will lead people into more and more ungodliness."

  There will always be those who tell you, "God doesn't do that any longer" or other such untrue things. Be careful what you are hearing. God Wisdom, skillful and Godly Wisdom, and with all you have gotten, get discernment, comprehension and interpretation.
