Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom). For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the principal thing; and with all your getting, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)."
We've been learning about the Power of the Blood of Jesus, concerning our health and healing. Lev.17:14(Amp) tells us that, "As for the life of all flesh, the blood of it represents the life of it." God says in Prov.4:20-22, "My son, attend to My Words; consent and submit to My sayings; Let them not depart from your sight, keep them in the center of your heart. For they are life to those who find them, healing and health to all their flesh."
How does God's Word bring health and healing to all our flesh? Jesus is God's Word. At the Last Supper, Jesus said, "This cup is the cup of My Blood, shed for the remission of sin, every time you drink of it, do it in remembrance of Me," in Mark14:24(Amp). Rom.3:23(Amp) says, "Since all have sinned and fallen short of the honor and Glory of God which God bestows and receives. All are justified and made upright and in right standing with God, freely and gratuitously by His Grace (His unmerited favor and mercy) Through the REDEMPTION which is (provided) in Christ Jesus Whom God put forward before the eyes of all as a MERCY SEAT and propitiation by His Blood (the cleansing and Life-giving Sacrifice of atonement and reconciliation to be received through faith. This was to show God's Righteousness, because in His Divine forbearance He had passed over and ignored former sins without punishment."
Ex.12:23(Amp) says, "For the Lord will pass through to slay the Egyptians, and when He sees the Blood upon the lintel and the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door and will not allow the destroyer to come into your home to slay you." This was a Type of the Blood of our Passover Lamb, Jesus that sustains Life and protection from the destroyer. How much more cleansing and healing and protection is in the Blood of Jesus, instead of a lamb or goat?
1John1:7-9(Amp) says, "But if we really are living and walking in the Light, as He Himself is in the Light, we have (true unbroken) fellowship with one another and the Blood of Jesus Christ His Son, cleanses (removes us from all sin and guilt), keeps us cleansed from sin in all its forms and its manifestations. If we freely admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just (true to His Own Nature and Promises) and will forgive our sins (dismiss our lawlessness) and continuously cleanse us from all unrighteousness (everything that is not in conformity to His will in purpose, thought and action)."
John was speaking about our flesh and blood bodies being cleansed by Jesus' Blood and Grace. If sin is present, it will promote disease and sickness in our mortal bodies. If we understand that the life of all flesh is in the blood, then we can by faith, allow the Blood of Jesus to bring health and healing to our flesh. Jesus was speaking to His followers at the Last Supper. They were old covenant Jews and they understood the blood of the sacrifice lamb. We've missed what Jesus was saying and haven't put faith in the Blood of our Sacrifice Lamb for life and healing in our flesh.
We were born again by Jesus' Resurrection from His Spirit and we're healed and kept whole in our natural bodies by the Life of His Blood. 1Cor.11:29-30(Amp) says, "Anyone who eats and drinks without discriminating and recognizing with due appreciation that it is Christ's Body, eats and drinks a sentence (a verdict of judgement) upon himself. Thus careless and unworthy participation is the reason many of you are weak and sickly, and quite enough of you have fallen into the sleep of death." The life of our flesh is in the Blood of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
