2Corinthians 5:17 (Amplified) says, "Therefore, if any person in (ingrafted) in Christ Jesus (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old (previous moral and spiritual condition) has passed. Behold, the fresh and new has come."
As Christians, we have not learned to develop our faith in this new creation being that we've become. We've been taught that we are saved, but we haven't understood what being saved means for us today. Paul writes in Romans 10:13 (Amplified), "For everyone who calls upon the Name of the Lord (invoking Him as Lord) will be saved." According to The Strong's Concordance (#4982), "saved" means "SOZO, safe; to save i.e. deliver or protect, (lit. or fig.) heal, preserve, save (self) do well, be (made) whole." And, according to (#4983) it means, "The body (as a sound whole) used in a very wide application (lit. or fig.) - bodily body." It means "Corporeal or physical," according to (#4983) and (#4084).
The rendering of the word "saved" is so much more than we've been taught or come to believe. These meanings change everything about the new creation man. I believe, that when Paul taught about Jesus to the Gentiles, he taught the full meaning. We don't read where Paul writes about "healing," even though it was a very important part of Jesus' ministry. I believe this was mainly because, when Paul preached, salvation and healing and deliverance and restoration were all included at the receiving of the Gospel he preached.
Since that time, the Truth of the Gospel has been watered down and we have settle for a mere portion of what both Jesus and Paul preached. Many have accepted that Christ's Gospel means they will go to Heaven when they die and has very little to do with our lives here on earth. Romans 10:17 (Amplified) says, "So faith comes by hearing (what is told) and what is heard comes by the preaching (of the Message that came from the lips) of Christ (the Messiah Himself)."
One might ask, "What was the Message from the lips of Christ?" Jesus proclaimed in Luke 4:18-19 (Amplified) that the Gospel He preached to everyone was, "The Spirit of the lord (is) upon Me, because He has anointed Me (the Anointed One, the Messiah) to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to sent forth as delivered those who are oppressed (who are down trodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity): To proclaim the accepted and acceptable year of the Lord (the dau when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound." Upon finishing preaching the Gospel, Jesus declares in Luke 4:21 (Amplified) saying, "Today this scripture has been fulfilled while you are present and hearing."
If Jesus declared His message of the Gospel was "fulfilled," then it is still fulfilled today. We haven't been preaching the full Truth of the Gospel, which means the people haven't heard it and if they haven't heard it, then they haven't been able to place faith in it. Romans 10:17 (Amplified) again says, "So faith comes by hearing (what is told) and what is heard comes by the preaching (of the Message that comes from the lips) of Christ (the Messiah Himself)."
So, because we haven't heard the Truth of the Message of the Gospel, our faith has never been developed for it (it has been developed for everything else we've heard). When was the last time you heard a salvation message preached, which included healing and deliverance are also yours when you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior? I don't recall having ever heard the Message of the Truth of the Gospel like that. We've put faith in what we've heard, but we haven't heard the Message that our Messiah preached above.
The new creation man was to be restored back to God's original intent; spirit, soul and body. The old creation man wasn't just a spirit with a mortal flesh and blood body, but he was a man who was a spirit being with an immortal body. Now, the new creation man isn't just a spirit, but has God's Own Spirit living (ingrafted) into our new creation being. We were made brand new; spirit, soul, and body. This body was to be redeemed or restored. The soul (mind, will, and emotions) were to be ingrafted with the Mind of Christ. The spirit was to be made alive again unto God. The new creation wasn't even to bear the "marks of fallen man."
During the earthly ministry of Jesus, we see the Gospel being manifested to all who would "believe by hearing" and God was restoring back that which had been lost in Adam's fall. Everything that was out of place, was restored by miracles for everything who believed the Word. God never planned for any of His creation to be blind, so He restored the sight that satan had stolen. God's original plan for His children never included sickness, so Jesus brought forth salvation (healing) to the sick bodies and restored them back to the Original. God never intended for anyone to be possessed by an unclean spirit, but His original intent was for us to be filled with His Spirit and He set them free from satan's hold.
Now, we can better understand what Jesus meant when He told them to "Go into all the world and preach the Gospel." Mark 16:15-20 (Amplified) says, "And He said to them; Go into all the world and preach and publish openly the Good News (the Gospel) to every creature (of the whole human race). And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord kept working with them and confirming the Message by the attesting signs and miracles that closely accompanied (it). Amen."
It seem apparent that these men were "preaching the Message that came from the lips of the Messiah." And, because this Gospel was being preached, the signs and miracles flowed for restoration. We've been hearing an incomplete Gospel and putting our faith in only a portion of what Jesus "came to preach" in Luke 4:18-19. When the whole Word is preached, we have more to put our faith into and more to walk in.
The new creation man is so much more than what we've been told or have dared to believe! He is like the "First Born from the dead (JESUS)" and the "First Born of many brethren." The new creation is exactly what its title says, a new creation. We are not just what we've been told describes us, "simply forgiven sinners," but we are new creations that never existed in all of creation.
We were created fully in the Likeness and Image of God and we're supposed to take dominion through His indwelling Presence in our new man, and restore His original intents as the Work of His hands. The question remains: Do we have the necessary boldness to believe what His Word says? Or, do we allow the giant of Joshua's day, to keep us from His Promise?
We are only responsible to believe and the "Father in us, will do the work," like He did in Jesus. We are only required to believe that, "All things are possible to him who believes." We've been operating in misplaced faith, because we have only heard a small portion of the Message that Jesus came to proclaim. It's not a matter of our just going to Heaven when we die, but it is a Truth that Heaven has come to earth. This is the new creation.
We are a generation of God men, new creation beings who are born from God's Own Seed (the Word) and filled with His Own Presence. We are called by His Name and sent from the Kingdom as His very Own representatives to do what the first Adam failed to do in the first creation. Through the Last Adam, we can now take dominion and bring back what is rightfully ours through Christ.
