Lesson 144 The New Creation

2Corinthians 5:17 (Amplified) says, "Therefore, if any person is (ingrafted) in Christ Jesus (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old (previous moral and spiritual condition) has passed. Behold, the fresh and new has come."
We are about to enter into a new year and a new beginning.  We're also going to enter into a new move of the Holy Spirit.  The time healing and restoration is coming into our nations, our churches, our families and our lives.  This is a time for making some New Year's resolutions, that we commit to and keep.  The best resolution we can make, is to spend more time in God's Word and more time listening to the Holy Spirit.
Many of us have spent out prayer time talking and less time listening.  It does more good hearing from the Father, rather than telling Him what is wrong.  No problem we can face is new to Him and no problem is beyond His ability.  Many of us fail to hear the instructions from the Father concerning out problems, when we pray.  We've been waiting for the answer, before we believe that God has heard us, instead of believing He has heard us when we prayed.  It doesn't do much good for Him to hear us, if we don't do what He tells us to do or believe He's heard our petition.
Let's resolve to wait and listen for His leading and instructions this New Year.  And, let's do what He says.  Even Jesus said that, "I only do what My Father says."  We must resolve to heed the promises of the new covenant and put faith in what God wishes to do in our lives.  Many of the things He truly want to do, have been so "down played" that we don't believe He will do them when we pray.  We have nearly stopped believing Him to change things in our lives and have accepted that when things go awry in our lives, then it's God's will.  His Word is His will, but I don't see much believing to have Him move.
We've reached a place of complacency in our lives, where we just accept things as they have always been.  God still answers prayer, just like He always has and that is by His Word.  God will not violate His Word, by doing "magical" things.  God will only do faith things.  God is not going to change, but He does expect us to change.  His will is still the same for His people, so we must come in line with His will, when we pray.
The old saying of, "You never know what God's will is," has got to change in the hearts of His people.  God has stated His will and He has showed His will, in the life of Jesus.  Jesus was and is the very Example of God's will on earth for mankind.  Jesus brought salvation, healing and miracles to people's lives.  If you know the Lord Jesus, then you should know the Father's will, because Jesus never did anything that wasn't the Father's will.  Jesus was the very Likeness of God, in every aspect.  If Jesus did something, then it was the will of the Father.
It's beyond comprehension, how we ever got so mixed-up, as to what the Father would do.  God's will is the same and will always be the same, but He still needs people to become obedient to His will, in order to have it done.  Today, if  we're not witnessing healings, miracles, and deliverance like we'd like too, then it's because the people aren't being obedient to His Voice, like we should be.
Please, do not misunderstand me.  God's will is going to be fulfilled, but the question is whether or not we are going to be obedient to it.  All things will end like God has said and all things will come to pass, like the Word has determined.  The difference is whether some people will receive their healing now, or wait until they come into His Presence, after their mortal body dies?  Although healing is a temporal things, it's important to us now, if we are the ones who need that healing.
Jesus knew (and we know too), that when we enter into the spirit realm (after our mortal body dies), we will be made whole.  Jesus knew this, but it didn't stop the Father from healing the people even in this realm, through Jesus.
I do not believe that we were made to be spectators in this new creation, but we were made to be participants.  It's a truly marvelous things to be born-again and to become a new creation, but we must know what we were created to be.  Man wasn't created solely to "be here," but to do something while we are here.  Now, we must decide what it is that we are supposed to do.
A challenge has been laid down before us, we will overcome or be overcome.  Our adversary refuses to move by anything other than the force of God's Word and the Name of Jesus.  We've been granted authority in His Name and His Name is still "Above all names."  It is His authority that's been delegated to His Body (the Church), that will move the enemy.  I guarantee that the peace talks our politicians are engaged in, will not work over our enemy, because he only responds to the Name of Jesus and faith in the Name of Jesus.  We know the Name, but seemingly, we have misplaced our faith in His Name.
This New Year, let's commit to pray, read the Word, listen to the Holy Spirit and move on what we have heard.  Being in the right place, at the right time, will let us be "about our Father's business."   Not everyone is called to go to Africa, but all of us are called to "Go into all the world."  This means we are to go and tell the world (the unsaved) about Jesus.  You might only need to go next door or your part of "going into all the world," might be going to those you work with.  Don't just try getting them to church, bring the Church to them.  Remember, we are the Church.  The church building is simply a place where we gather for praise, worship and instruction.
The Church is called by His Name.  His Name is not "Baptist," "Catholic," "Evangelical" or "Non-denominational."  The Pastor is not the only one who is responsible for brings sons unto glory, but every bran.ch is to bear fruit.  This is not the Fruit of the Spirit.  That is what you (by the Holy Spirit) bear in your own life.  A watermelon branch doesn't merely bring forth the blossom, but the melon.  We are to "bear fruit after kind."  What kind is that?
This year, let's not only make a few decisions, but commitment to our decisions.  Let's commit to let our new resolutions slide in a week or so, but continue until Jesus comes.  Pray for God to heal our Land and pray for laborers into the harvest, while never forgetting that we are all also laborers in this harvest.  When God tells you to go, remember that someone is believing you will be their laborer, in a harvest unto the Lord.
Don't expect "cheerleaders" will be there to encourage you, but take responsibility for your commitment to the Lord and just go do it.  We should do like David did and encourage yourself in the Lord.  Those around you won't always agree with you or encourage you, but you must, "Do it as unto the Lord."  If God says to do it, then it is His will.
This is going to be a year, like no other has been in our Christian walk.  We are coming to a new place in the Lord, this year.  These things don't "come upon you," without your being obedient to His will.  It wasn't easy for Jesus to be obedient to God's will at the cross, but because of He was obedient even to death,  Jesus was given a Name above all names.  Some Christians, along with the world, will try talking out of something that you know is God's will.  We must learn to hear the Voice of the Father for ourselves and do like He instructs us to do.
Let Him make this new year, the best year you've ever had and put your faith in His Word (which is forever settled in Heaven).  This is His will for you.
                                                   GOD BLESS YOU
