Lesson 42 THE YEAR OF UNDERSTANDING - Original Intent

Genesis 1:26-27 (Amplified) tells us, "God said, Let Us (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit), make mankind in  Our image (after Our Likeness), and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the (tame) beasts, and over everything that creeps upon the earth. So God created man in His Own Image, in the Image and Likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them."
God gave them one command and made man responsible to not eat of the Tree of Knowledge in Genesis 2:17 (Amplified) saying, "But of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil and Blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die."
Adam went onto live for "930 years, and he died," according to Genesis 5:5.  Anyway you choose to look at it, Adam died that very day he disobeyed God's order.  The moment Adam partook of the Tree, he died in his spirit and was separated from God, in his spirit.  2Peter 3:8 (Amplified) says, "Nevertheless, do not let this one fact escape you beloved, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day."  Either way, Adam died that day.
Paul writes in Romans 5:12,19 (Amplified), "Therefore, as sin came into the world though one man, and death as the result of sin, so death spread to all men, no one being able to stop it or escape it's power because all men sinned."  He goes on in Verse 19, "For just as by one man's disobedience, failing to hear, heedlessness, and carelessness, the many were constituted sinners, so by One Man's obedience the many will be constituted righteous (made acceptable to God, brought into right standing with Him)."
First came the sin and then came death.  If Adam hadn't sinned, then we would have lived immortal, in this body and eternal in the spirit.  Hebrews 7:26-27 (Amplified) says, "Here is the High Priest, perfectly adapted to our needs, as was fitting-holy, blameless, unstained by sin, separated from sinners, and exalted higher than the heavens. He has no day by day necessity as do each of these other high priest, to offer sacrifice first of all for his own personal sins, and then for those of the people because He met all the requirements once and for all when He brought Himself as a Sacrifice which He offered up."
So long as the separation of sin was in the world, God was limited on His involvement of men and death still ruled.  Adam's sin caused a barrier between God and mankind.  The blood of goats and bulls could cover sin for a moment, but it couldn't remove the sin and so long as the sin was present, life in the spirit of man wasn't possible.  Romans 3:23-24 (Amplified) says, "Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and Glory which God bestows and received, All are just free and made upright and in right standing with God; freely and gratuitously by His Grace, His unmerited favor and mercy through the redemption which is provided in Christ Jesus."
Jesus paid for all sin and  the barrier was between God and man was removed, for all who receive and believe in Him.  The Curse was removed and the Blessing and right standing were restored to mankind again.  Through Jesus and the new birth, there's no longer a wall or barrier to hold back God from His Original Intent and purpose for mankind.  Sin has been paid for and the wages of sin (death) has been abolished, for those who are in Christ Jesus.  God can once again, work through and live in and through, this new creation people, just like He desired in the beginning.
The root of sin was Adam's disobedience and we still see the fruit of sin, in the unsaved today.  The fruit of sin we see today are adultery, theft, lies and all of the outer stains of the root that brought death and separation from God.  Sin has been removed and righteousness has been restored, so God can now move on in His Original Plan for mankind.  All that held back the Blessing and fellowship with Him, have been removed.  God has a clean state to build upon, in Jesus Christ.
The Strong's Concordance defines the word, "Salvation," from Acts 13:12 as, "Rescue, safety, deliver, health, salvation, save, and saving."  The Strong's Concordance defines the word, "salvation," from Acts 28:28 as, "Defense, salvation, heal, preserve, save, do well, make whole, the body as a sound whole, corporate or physical, bodily, deliverer, in God or Christ, Savior."  Salvation was never limited to being after we die and leave this body, but is for while we're living here on this earth.  We're to take back the authority and Blessing that God gave Adam, through Jesus Christ for our spirit, soul and body.
When we don't receive and accept the whole Plan of salvation, we limit God from restoring His Original Plan for His family.  God intent for man to be the under lord of all His creation and work as co-laborers together with Him.  We've entered back into a place with God, through Jesus, that doesn't cover only heavenly places and authorities, but over "everything that creeps upon the earth."  Our physical healing was restored, when Jesus suffered the whipping on His back.  Our peace of mind and well-being were accomplished, when the crown of thorns was placed on His head.  The Curse was removed, when the Blessing was restored and Jesus became a Curse for us.  The sickness and disease that were under the Curse, were removed from us, by Jesus Christ.  We were restored son-ship rights and given the power of attorney to us the Name Above All Names, the Name of Jesus Christ.  Satan's power was broken off from us, when Jesus was made sin for us and died for us.  The new covenant was established in Heaven, by His Blood.  We are truly free indeed.
Don't limit the Promises of God to be for "when we die and leave here."  Accept His Promises, today, here and now, in this body and on this earth.  We are no longer servants to sin and death, because Jesus paid for everything satan held over us.  Romans 8:3 (Amplified) says, "For God has done what the Law could not do, it's power being weakened by the flesh (the entire nature of man without the Holy Spirit), sending His Own Son in the guise of sinful flesh and as an Offering for sin. God condemned sin in the flesh, subdued, overcame, deprived it of its power over all who accept the Sacrifice."
You were and are, truly free (spirit, soul, and body), when you accepted the Sacrifice of the Lamb of God.  You need only to believe the rest of salvation, like you did the forgiveness of sin.  It's all been paid for and finished, in Christ Jesus.  Satan no longer has any hold on you, except deception.
