Genesis 1:26-27 (Amplified) reads, "God said, Let Us (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) make mankind in Our Image (after Our Likeness), and let them have complete authority over the fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the (tame) beasts, and over all the earth, and over everything that creeps upon the earth. So God created man in His Own Image, in the Image and Likeness of God He created him; male and female He created them."
This was God's Original Intention, for His family and the earth. He left nothing out and furnished everything man would ever need. Genesis 1:31 (Amplified) says, "And God saw everything that He had made, and behold, it was very good (suitable, pleasant), and He approved it completely. And there was evening and morning, a sixth day." God never needed to go back and created another tree, piece of fruit or blade of grass. He created everything with it's own seed, in which to reproduce itself. God never created another thing after that time, except for the Church.
Thus, we read in 2Corinthians 5:17 (Amplified), "Therefore if any person is (ingrafted) in Christ (the Messiah), he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old (previous moral and spiritual condition) has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come." Genesis 2:17 tells us that God's creation and the covenant relationship He had with mankind, consisted of only one thing...man's not eating of the Tree of Knowledge of good and evil. God tells Adam and Eve, "But of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil and Blessing and calamity you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." It was only in the third chapter of Genesis, that we read about Adam's failing to uphold the one simply part of the relationship between God and man.
God then tried to make covenant with one man after another, but the men wouldn't or couldn't uphold their part. Mankind's sliding further and further into the Curse, where disease entered his body because of Adam's sin. In the new covenant, God didn't make covenant with such a man as Adam, but God made covenant with Himself, the Last Adam, Who is Emanuel God with us. By the agreement of faith through Abraham, God could finally fulfill the Promise of the Seed, into the earth.
The Law of Genesis from Genesis 1:12, says that everything produces after kind and has within it, it's own seed. Through Abraham, God has put into place, the Promise of His Seed, according to Hebrews 6:13 (Amplified), which says, "For when God made His Promise to Abraham, He swore by Himself, since He had no one greater by whom to swear." Jesus is the Seed of His Promise, becoming the Guarantee of that Promise. Hebrews 7:22 (Amplified) says, "In keeping with the oath's greater strength and force, Jesus has become the Guarantee of a better, stronger, agreement; a more excellent and more advantageous covenant." This covenant is ironclad and Blood bought. IT CANNOT BE BROKEN.
Like He did with the first creation, God provided everything we'd ever need for both here and hereafter, in the new creation. Adam never needed to work for his provisions, because God had supplied it all. After his transgression, Adam had to provide for himself. In this new creation family, everything we need for both here and hereafter, has already been provided in Christ Jesus. 2Peter 1:3 (Amplified) says, "For His Divine power has bestowed upon us all things that are requisite and suited to life and godliness through the full personal knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His Own Glory and Excellence (virtue)."
God has provided for this new creation, just like He did for His first creation, Adam. God has foreseen all of our needs and has provided for them, BY GRACE, through the full personal knowledge of Jesus. We use faith to access what Grace has already made available. Faith doesn't produce what we need, it only accesses what Grace has already created and made ours, in Christ Jesus. Romans 4:16 (Amplified) says, "Therefore, inheriting the Promise is the outcome of faith, and depends entirely on faith, in order that it might be given as an act of Grace (unmerited favor) to make it stable and valid and guaranteed to all his descendants, not only devotees and adherents of the Law, but also to those who share the faith of Abraham who is thus the father of us all." Faith doesn't make it happen, because Grace has already provided it. Faith only receives what Grace has now made ours in Christ Jesus.
As you reflect on God's Awesome Gift of Jesus, Who is Love this Christmas season, remember that everything is provided in Him. You don't need for "God to do it," you must simply receive what He has already done by putting your faith in His Gift of Love. Merry Christmas.
