Get Wisdom #10

Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is, Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom) For skillful and Godly Wisdom is the Principal thing. And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension and interpretation)." 1Cor.1:3(Amp) says "But it is from Him (God) that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom from God." If Jesus has become our Wisdom from God, then it's no surprise that God would say that, "Wisdom is the Principal thing."

When we've received Jesus, we've received Wisdom. Now we must follow God's instructions to "get understanding, discernment, comprehension and interpretation." Most believe that when we received Jesus as our Lord and Savior, then we're forgiven and will go to Heaven. Some have understood more about wisdom, leading them to receive the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with it's new Spiritual language.

Paul continues in 1Cor.2:10-11(Amp) saying, "Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the Holy Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God, (the Divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man's scrutiny). For what person perceives (knows and understands) what passes through a mans thoughts except the man's own spirit within him? Just so no one discerns (comes to know and comprehend the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God." Paul continues to say that, "We have not received the spirit that belongs to the world, but the Holy Spirit Who is from God."

So, through Jesus, we have this Wisdom and we know that Wisdom comes alive in us by the Holy Spirit and not the spirit of the world. The above scriptures also tell us that the Holy Spirit explores, examines and sound the profound and bottomless things of God or "the Divine counsels and things hidden that are beyond man's scrutiny."

All the Wisdom of God Himself is now made available to everyone who has received Jesus Christ. How much of this Wisdom has the Church sought after or searched for. We struggle about knowing the will of God and we still argue about Spirit things that happen today through some believers. Our response to many of these things is, "God doesn't do this for everyone." Sadly, some in the Church ridicule those who walk in a higher degree of this Wisdom and function by the Holy Spirit of God.

We've looked with suspicion on those who've searched diligently and have obtained a higher understanding of Wisdom for themselves. The religious leaders accused Jesus of having a demon spirit, because He cast out demons. They continuously accused Jesus of being a fraud and fake, because they didn't or couldn't understand the Higher Wisdom that Jesus walked in. Some were amazed at the works Jesus did, while others wished to destroy Him because of those great works. Religion always gets upset by reality. We all want to think that we already know everything.

God says that we're like those in the Wilderness. They limited God by their unbelief. We can't allow the wisdom of men to keep us from receiving the Wisdom God has made available to us. Let's dare to step out like Joshua and Caleb, believing God has given us the Promise through Jesus. Let's not become complacent and settle for less that what our Lord has made ours through His Sacrifice. Rom.1:17 says we're to "Go from faith to faith." In other words, we're to grow in Wisdom in every stage of our salvation. Jesus is THE DOOR, but we must enter in through that Door, into the Throne of Grace.
