Get Wisdom #5

God instructs us in Prov.4:5(Amp) saying, "Get skillful and Godly Wisdom, (get understanding, discernment, comprehension and interpretation); do not forget and do not turn back from the Words of My mouth."

The above scripture is a Divine commandment from the very mouth of God. It's imperative that believers have Godly and skillful Wisdom. Man's wisdom isn't comparative to God's Wisdom, especially when it comes to the outcome. Too many of God's children have suffered under the wisdom of man. They could have been redeemed by hearing what God says about Wisdom.

Paul instructed Timothy about Wisdom, telling him to "Rightfully divide the Word of God." In Col.1:9(Amp) he tells us, "For this reason we also, from the day we heard of it [he is writing to the Church about their love, giving and faith] have not ceased to pray and make special request for you, (asking) that you may be filled with the full (deep and clear) knowledge of His will in all Spiritual Wisdom (in comprehensive insight into the way and purposes of God) and in understanding and discernment of spiritual things."

We stumble too many times, because we don't know God's will. We've been instructed in Prov.4, the Book of 2Tim.2:15 and the above scripture to not only know God's will, but to walk in it. We shouldn't just guess what God's will is. Too many unanswered prayer fall into the deep well of doubt and ignorance. It's impossible to get prayer to work for us, if we don't have faith in our prayer ability. God has made it very clear, that His desire is that we know His will and walk in His Wisdom. When we pray according to His will, we get answers. When we don't receive answers, then we concoct excuses like, "It may not have been God's will."

We're to seek skillful and Godly Wisdom, so we can know God's will in all Spiritual insight and have clear knowledge of His will. God has made this available to all of His children and has expressed this throughout His Word. There are some things that obviously aren't God's will, but His Spirit will reveal hidden things to us.

Some believe one thing, while others believe something else. We're all born-again and are children of God's family. It's foolish to think that God's will isn't the same for each of His children. Paul was asked about this very thing in Rom.3:3-4(Amp), where he replied, "If some don't believe, does this make the Word of God ineffective? God forbid! Let God be True and every man a liar."

When we try replacing God's Words with our own words, then we will be wrong in our speaking and believing. We've encountered this every since man invented denominations. God never did make denominations. He never intended that His family be separated into different bodies. God wants all His children to be One Body in Christ Jesus. God gives us skillful and Godly Wisdom, so we can walk separate from the world. Every denomination believes they have a monopoly on Truth. The Truth is that none of us have come into the full Truth of who He's made us to be in Jesus. Gal.4 tells us that we "Are sons and daughters of God." This doesn't mean that we would be so in the world to come, but NOW.
