Prov.4:7(Amp) says, "The beginning of Wisdom is Get Wisdom (skillful and Godly Wisdom)."
Even though God has made Wisdom available to those who are born-again, there are many differing ideas about what wisdom is. Scripture tells us that the Word of God is the Wisdom of God. We can't distinguish what is evil and what is good, without wisdom. "Jesus is the Wisdom and the Word Himself," according to Prov.8:1-3(Amp). John1:1,14(Amp) tells us that, "Wisdom was with the Father before anything was created", saying, "In the Beginning (before all time) was the Word (Christ) and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself." Verse14 says, "And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled among us." 1Cor.1:30(Amp) says, "But it is from Him that you have your life in Christ Jesus, Whom God made our Wisdom from God."
It seems difficult for us to recognize Jesus as a Man, while seeing Him as the Word. It seems difficult for us to know Him in Spirit, call upon Him as Lord and consider Him as living in us. When we separate these aspects of the Lord, we delude Him into separate things which should remain as One. The enemy has kept the Church fighting about watching over our words, for far too long. The beginning of Wisdom begins with watching our words.
John3:34(Amp) tells us, "For since He Whom God has sent speaks the Words of God (proclaims God's Own Message) God does not give Him His Spirit sparingly or by measure, but boundless is the Gift God makes of His Spirit." We're able to read, hear and now see the Word of God, because Jesus is the Word. The Wisdom we're seeking is the Word of God, Who is Jesus Himself. Jesus is called "the Word of God" in Rev.19:14. When we see Jesus in the Gospels and Epistles, we're actually seeing the Wisdom, the Word and the Spirit, working in perfect union together. This is skilled and skillful Wisdom that God is speaking of.
Prov.8:23(Amp) says, "I (Wisdom) was inaugurated and ordained from everlasting from the beginning, before ever the earth existed." 1Cor.1:24(Amp) says, "But to those who are called, whether Jew or Greek (Gentile), Christ is the Power of God and the Wisdom of God." John1:1(Amp) says, "In the beginning (before all time) was the Word (Christ) and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself."
When we seek God and His Word, we're seeking Jesus Who is the Word and the Wisdom of God. Skillful and Godly Wisdom comes by spending time in prayer and reading the Word. We're to seek after Jesus and "God's way of doing and being right," according to Matt.6:33. Too many have settles for teachings that aren't skillful nor Godly.
I recall the day the Father called me to teach His people. I listened to many preachers say "God puts sickness on us, in order to teach us something," while others taught something else. I needed to know for myself what was true, before I would teach it, so I went before the Lord to seek His Wisdom. God told me, "This is as the waters of Noah unto Me." It was lunch time, so I punched my time clock and rushed home to find the scripture. Isaiah54:7-10 is where I found this, "For a brief moment I forsook you, but with great compassion and mercy I will gather you to Me again. I a little burst of wrath I hid My face from you for a moment, but with age-enduring love and kindness I will have compassion and mercy on you, said the Lord Your Redeemer. For this is like the days of Noah to Me; as I sword that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, So have I sworn that I will not be angry with you or rebuke you. For though the mountains should depart or the hills be shaken or removed, yet My Love and Kindness shall not depart from you, not shall My covenant of peace and completeness be removed, says the Lord Who has compassion on you."
You might be saying to yourself, "What does that have to do with what you asked God?" Well, the flood only came once and God swore it would never happen again. What Jesus did at the cross, I was healed by His striped and redeemed from sickness and the Curse of the Law. God said He would never do these things to me again. God tells us in Isaiah54:15(Amp), "Behold, they may gather together an stir up strife but it is not by Me. Whoever stirs up strife against you shall fall and surrender to you."
